Inspiration comes from my world around me. I am humbled by nature and love to mirror her creations. I am intrigued by layers of leaves on trees, swirling vines, and seemingly endless flower petals. Beauty exists all around us, fleeting and precious. In channeling that beauty into a piece of jewelry, I can harness the moment and make it last forever.
Since the age of twelve, I have loved twining wire and beads. In 2013, I earned a certificate in Comprehensive Jewelry Training from the only licensed and accredited jewelry trade school in New York, Studio Jewelers, Ltd. There, I added fabrication, forging, stone setting, wax carving, and casting to my skill set.
In my creations, I use only precious metals and hand selected gemstones. All Kate Sydney jewelry is handcrafted in America.
