Hi there! My name is Katie. Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my page and fun things that come with it. Here is a little about me, my products, prices and how to order.
About me: I dropped out of Home Economics in high school because I had NO INTEREST in sewing or cooking. Now look at me! It all started in December of 2004 when my mom got me a quilting basics class at Oklahoma Quiltworks in Oklahoma City, OK. I. WAS. HOOKED. Since then I have taken more classes to learn different techniques and really enjoy the process of making a beautiful quilt.
Even though I didn't want to cook in high school, I have never met anything baked I didn't like. My cookie decorating journey started in October 2014. I wanted to make sugar cookies for Valentine's Day for my neices and nephews like my Grandmother had done for us while growing up. October gave me time to practice(I'm a recovering Type A). February 2015 was my first time to use Royal Icing. I fell in love. I am completely self taught, thanks to the internet the classroom is at our fingertips. I do hope to find time for classes in the future to learn new techniques.
Because my husband and little girl are my most important priority I ask for at least a 2 weeks notice on orders, providing there is an opening for cookies. Quilts are a more time involved item and will need a much longer time, so please do not request last minute items.
The cookies that I am primarily selling are traditional sugar cookies that are iced with Royal Icing. They come in a variety of flavors, Vanilla Bean
Vanilla Lemon
Vanilla Almond
Chocolate
The cookies are rolled out to a consistent 3/8 inch thickness to ensure that each bite will be soft.
My Royal Icing recipe uses Meringue Powder and dries hard. The wonderful thing about royal icing is that, although it dries hard, it will melt in your mouth!
Cookies are sold by the minimum of 1 dozen. Prices can range from $15-$45 a dozen.
Cookies may be sold individually or in sets for different occasions through out the year.
Flash sales are just that. A limited amount of items being sold for a great price. First come first serve.
I prefer paypal as payment, but will take cash and checks in some instances.
A 50% deposit is due at the time of scheduling the order.
I can make almost any type of quilt. I will only use quilt shop quality fabric that is 100% cotton, as well as cotton batting. If your interest is in a t shirt quilt then I would use your shirts of course. The best way to figure cost on a quilt is to speak with me directly either by phone or email to ensure you are getting exactly what you want. It is a very time involved item so please, no rush orders.
Specialty decorated sugar cookies and drop cookies all by custom order or pre orders during holidays or special events.
