Located at Irvine Ranch Historic Park, the library has its own rose garden and avocados trees. It’s a nice place to bring family and enjoy some quiet time. While it’s not as big as other libraries, it is still has its own charm. Beautiful garden and seatings.
This library isn’t just for books. It’s a site with an incredible history of the origins of Orange County and the family that was blessed to help found it. You can see some of the housing utilized by the farm workers over 100 years ago. And … you can find a nice place for a picnic.
This library is a beautiful place inside and out. However, it's not a quiet place so you cannot study or do school homework there. People/staff always talk loudly. 2 stars for not having the most important attribute of a library, being quiet.
A historic building and beautiful garden lies under California sunshine in Irvine.
Conveniently located across the street from Irvine marketplace. The library is bit small but it has a cozy feel to it. The staff are helpful and friendly, they don't look agitated when you ask lots of questions. There's a picnic area, rose garden, a little orchard at the property. It's a cute place to stroll around. In addition, the library also offers many various activities for the community. It deserves a visit.
Quaint and comfortable spot to unwind and relax, peruse books, and study. Several computer workstations as well as desks and tables to use your own computer. Comfortable chairs to in which to sit and read or post reviews on Google maps :- There's also an outdoor area where one can enjoy the California sunshine.
Beautiful library, spacious really nicely organized, good new computers . It has a nice area for to study & bring your laptop . Children area is upstairs which is really quiet for the adults downstairs & the little ones have a pretty spacious area upstairs. Their employees are wonderful as well!
Really love this library! They are accommodating a run a great system of holds/check outs with the rest of the system, not much to complain about at all! The building is beautiful and surrounded by a large property with plenty of good little reading spots/space to walk. I do think their hold system could do without the large sheets of paper along the outside of every book... back in Cincinnati the system was very similar but would just use the one receipt sticking out of the books to call them out, just a lot less waste in the long run!
Loudest library ever. The employees there make no effort to fix the situation and allow children to yell and scream. It’s definitely not a good place to study or read a book.
I like it here. However, a library must be a quiet area to read, work, or work on a school project. That is not the situation here; beginning with the people who work here, they are constantly conversing loudly on the phone, to each other, or in general communication. I sincerely hope that the individuals in charge consider making this lovely spot considerably quieter.
