This is the "Virtual" Kearny High School Hall of Fame
The recipients must have attended Kearny High School, or if faculty/staff must not be employed at KHS for at least one year. They also must have/had an outstanding career which has resulted in a direct and significant impact in their field for at least five (5) years. The categories in which the alumni are recognized include:
o Community Service
o Visual and Performing Arts or Journalism
o Government Service
o Sports or Business
o Science or Education.
Up to seven alumni could be inducted into the “Distinguished Alumni” category each year. This award may or may not be presented annually . The Distinguished Alumni will receive a plaque that will be put on the wall.
The Kearny High School Alumni Association has created a site(s) on Campus (plus a virtual site online) that will recognize, honor and document’s Kearny High School alumni, staff and faculty outstanding achievements over the years.
In a way that :
Inspires the community and contributes to student success.
Increases the pride and value of a Kearny education.
Raise expectation for success, by helping student's identify with the longtime (since 1942) Kearny High School Legacy of Success.
Increase awareness in student, alumni, and faculty - of the many success stories that exist in it’s Alma Mater.
So that :
The alumni, staff and faculty of Kearny High will all feel honored to belong to this esteemed group.
