Kelley Michael Doyle was born in 1954 in the mountains of southern California.
Starting his interior design career in 1975, Kelley worked for Frank Ferris Interior Design of Newport Beach. He worked full time while studying environmental science in college and writing music, playing guitar and was the lead singer in a local band.
After the realization that music and the sciences were not his God given talents, Kelley spent 10 years working for Canterbury Interiors in Newport Beach, CA. At Canterbury, Mr. Doyle managed seven full-time designers and also trained design assistants.
As success and wealth grew, the owner of Canterbury Interiors, hired Kelley to do his first solo design job. He was in charge of the renovation of The Huntington Hartford Estate, a two-acre compound in downtown Palm Springs. The project was a great success.
Two years later Kelley was hired to be the in-house designer for the owner of Canterbury Interiors. Mr. Doyle worked exclusively on the owner’s many estates and as well, supervised and managed all of their properties and private jet.
This experience is the basis for his interior design business today.
In 1989 Kelley Michael Doyle Interior Design, Inc. was started. Kelley previously attended targeted studies at Woodbury , UCI and Cal State Fullerton. He received his CCIDC Certification (California Council for Interior Design) in 1993.
In 1996 Maria Galasso was employed by Kelley to create the dynamic design team with both masculine and feminine input. Maria, like Kelley, believes that the in-house design concept for their customers is the best way to accommodate their many prestigious clients. Their clients agree, hiring them to design home after home. This helps to keep the company’s overhead low and there is no need for advertising.
Today, Kelley Michael Doyle Interior Designs, Inc. specializes in renovations of hotel presidential suites. Kelley and Maria turn these suites at prestigious hotels such as the Four Seasons into complete custom residences and smart homes for very private and exclusive clients.
Kelley Michael Doyle also specializes in designing homes from the ground up, partial renovations, commercial design, and boutique hotels.
Maria Galasso started her life in the fast lane almost being born in the family doctor’s brand new Maserati. She grew up in Orange County, California…
Maria decided, after high school, to take a chance on her dreams and moved to Los Angeles to study acting. Right away she joined a theater group and for several years performed plays at the well-known Whitefire Theater in Sherman Oaks, CA.
While studying acting, Maria also enjoyed learning about other forms of artistic expression. She decided interior design, like acting, was one of her passions and could utilize her wide range of creative skills.
Receiving a degree in interior design in 1991, Maria and her friend Charlotte Patterson started their own company. Their company focused manily on commercial/ hotel and hospitality design.
In 1996, looking to move into high-end residential design, Maria accepted a position with Kelley Michael Doyle Interior Designs, Inc. Maria has become in dynamic part of the firm, working as a partner on exclusive homes for their illustrious clientele.
