Features we like: Swings 2 smaller child options , plenty of trees and benches for shade, splash pad next to play structure for when its hot, rubbery soft surface for falls around play structure
Small and sweet park with picnic area, play area and restrooms. In summer every Friday evening you could enjoy live music performance in park with food trucks and much more. Playground: Yes Restrooms: Yes Dog-friendliness: Yes Picnic area: Yes
This was a fun park for the kids. I liked this place because it had all the necessities. Shade, playground, spray park, benches and tables, bathroom, field space, and parking! Playground: Fun playground and swings Restrooms: Two bathrooms Picnic area: Shaded area with benches and table
Beautiful city park. Very well maintained. Apple valley city council takes great care of the park. Dog friendly. Very much family friendly. Beautiful to see kids playing in the splash pad during summer and in the plays sets throughout the year. There are various entertainment events happening during summer in the park. And the people make it all the more special. Amply parking for your cars around the park and each sides. The cherry blossoms are breathtaking in spring! Trees are very pretty and adds so much color to the city itself. Surrounded by beautiful apartment complex seems like a safe park to play for all. Great for gatherings with family and friends.
This is an excellent park! I take my summer camp students here every year, and we always have a blast! The entire park is one big rectangle, surrounded on all sides by apartment buildings. In the middle of the park is the playground/splash pad. One of the things that makes this park ideal for my group is that the playground and splash pad are right next to each other in one big semi-circle of concrete, with a large gazebo with picnic tables right in the middle on one side. The splash pad is one of the biggest ones in the area with several different types of sprayers and buckets that dump. The kids can go freely from the splash pad to the playground and back again. This does mean the playground is always wet, but the kids love it. This also makes it easy to keep on eye on everyone while having a shady spot for home base and lunch right there in the gazebo. Another huge plus is there is an actual bathroom right by the splash pad with two individual, locking toilet spaces with baby change tables. The rest of the park is open grass with few trees sprinkled here and there. There are lots of picnic tables, mostly near the play area. There are also some cute little things like a xylophone and wooden swing along the sidewalk paths and an area with large rocks my students love to climb around on. On another note, in the summer on Friday evenings, they also have live music in the bandstand off to one side of the park.
My 3 year old boys love this park, just as my older teenage boys did when they were little! Splash pad, no sand in the play area, which is great not to have sand all in the twins shoes after playtime. And of course in my car too. Great park, love to take the kiddos here
Great park. Playground and splash pad better for preschool and up Rosemount splash pad better for younger kids. Clean and pretty and spacious. The Friday night music in the park is fun in the summer. Real bathrooms, which was a great option instead of a port a potty, but by halfway through the concert could have used a cleaning. Pavilion for shade on hot days. All around a great park.
Had a birthday for my kid there. There is only one gazebo so you have to get there at like 6am to make sure you get it. Other than that the park is nice and super clean. Playground: Nice size Dog-friendliness: People can walk their dogs
It was a nice afternoon and it was not that crowded. Fun time for our 3 year old. When older kids came, it wasn't as conducive for younger children.
Great place to find some devils lettuce, some Haitian oregano. You know the sin-spinach, get my grift? It's not always a great atmosphere for children.
