This place was beautiful. We went in Aug, so we missed out on the May spring flowers, but we’re going to go back. We took the tram tour. It was great, it was a guided tour pre-recorded but very informative. I do recommend going on it so you get to pass by and learn about all of the attractions. It’s family friendly, or good as a date. It’s a must see for sure.
Beautiful sprawling gardens. Very tranquil, especially on a weekday. The roses are great right now and lots of butterflies to be found! There’s even some toy trains chugging through the forested paths. If you have mobility issues or are tired from the heat, use the tram which also includes more of a guided tour. Enjoy!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entry$16–20
I love it here! It's beautiful and well maintained. There is a lot to see. There is a trolley but if you want to walk, it is manageable. There are plenty of benches to rest, but not a lot of water stops. I would recommend a visit here if you love plants and flowers. We went in the summer but I am sure Spring and Fall have a different view to offer.
Been there twice, the second visit felt like the first time. I was in love with the place. The ground is perfect for families. Vibrant colors of different flowers and greens fills the huge area. You can walk around under the shades of big trees, see different varieties of rose in the rose garden. The indoor garden showcase tropical plants whole year. The staffs are very friendly.
Absolutely beautiful gardens. I love that they have eclectic sections along the path that have fun designs- it's not just sorted by different types of flowers, as many places are, but actual themes like the Victorian garden and Japanese-inspired path and things like that. The model train garden was a definite hit- so fun to watch the trains ride the large tracks around trees and flowers. The conservatory was also gorgeous- so calm and inviting. Kenefick park at the top of the hill was small but it was fun to see the giant trains-of-old. I will say they just planted flowers recently, so I bet in late summer the gardens will be full-to-bursting with beauty, so a good time to visit would actually be late July-August to see everything in full bloom.
This is a beautiful conservatory. There was so much to see. I was so happy to see all the butterflies and moths. I wish I would have had more time to explore.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
The place was beautiful! It was so big we didn't get to see everything. Make sure if you're going when the weather is hot, that you take plenty of water with you and wear sunscreen. Didn't take many pictures as I just wanted to enjoy the moment
I had a lovely visit, probably spent about 2 hours there. I didn’t use their tram, I walked all the way around so I’m glad I wore comfortable shoes. Unfortunately I think I missed a lot of the spring blooms but it was still nice. I do wish someone had explained to me how to utilize the tram service if I wanted to. I still don’t know!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
Every visit to Lauritzen Gardens shows you something new. The flowers change, and then you see something you didn't notice last time. Beautiful sculptures throughout the gardens add a touch of man-made art to all the natural beauty. Take your time and let the quiet help relax you.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$11–15
So these grounds are pretty massive, i would recommend getting the "train" ride around the park to see what you want to see first and then walk down to or stay at it since the walk can get a little far for some people. My favorite part of the whole place is their model train display.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
