Description

Broome Street Bar is an unassuming, no-frills bar and restaurant in the heart of SoHo. We’ve been around since before SoHo was the trendy area that it is now, so we have quite a bit of history. We are proud of our timeworn tables, simple American food and comfortable atmosphere.

For lunch, stop in for one of our delicious burgers, sandwiches, salads or omelets. Our Bacon American Cheeseburger is so juicy you will need extra napkins, but it’s worth every one. For dinner, try our Knockwurst Chili Dog or our homemade Soup of the Day. Wash your meal down with one of our domestic or international beers like Chimay Blue, Hoegaarden or Woodchuck Cider. Our beer menu is extensive, and we also offer a large selection of wines. Whether you are looking for a hearty meal and a cold brew or if you want to people-watch from the comfort of a neighborhood bar, Broome Street is the perfect place. Our friendly staff will make sure you are taken care of while you unwind and enjoy the historically charming atmosphere.

"Kenn's Broome Street Bar is a classic American bar and full service restaurant serving Soho and New York City since 1972, in a building dating to 1826. Come in and have a burger, a bowl of our famous chili, a salad, and a beer, wine or cocktail of your choice."

Cool bar and pub on a corner in SoHo. Interesting concept with a bunless chilli-dog, but it was very good. The place smelled amazing and looks inviting. Service at the bar was excellent. The open kitchen is a neat touch. Reasonable prices. Good drink selection.
We ate 6 people for lunch around 2pm. The service was quick and friendly. The food was good and large portions. We order 2 x nachos, one chicken burger, 2 x wings and fries. More than enough.Food: 4/5
Nice place! Sadly we had to wait ages to order food and then nearly half of our order didn’t arrive. The food that did arrive was okay.Recommended dishes
I had a great time at this bar! The drinks were good, and the sandwich I ordered surpassed my expectations. The overall experience was warm and inviting. These are the kind of places I really like in NYC
Super food, super beer, nice staff. Av prices. They sometimes have Czech beer Pilsner Urquell. Try Brooklyn beer and their burger.Food: 5/5
A sudden rain storm and hungry bellies had us heading for a place to escape. As we read the menu outdoors, a woman passing by said “best burgers in New York”. That was enough of a testament for me. I felt like I’d stepped back in time to pubs in England and Australia. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with colourful chalkboards spelling out the food and drinks plus the cosiness of the wooden chairs and tables. We were immediately seated when we walked in and we endeavoured to dry off. They do hamburgers differently here - in pita bread. I asked for “chips” with mine when I should’ve said “fries” a common mistake we Australians make in the USA. The burgers were flavoursome with a texture I’m not used to, yet still tasty. To go with our burgers we had margaritas. Service was very good. Decor inviting. Outdoor dining available - which would be lovely hadn’t it been raining. Toilets antiquated yet somewhat charming. We will return.
great spot, both indoors and out, to hang for some after dinner drinks. Food looked good too. Nice people watching at the intersection, not too loud. Cool disposable coasters that double as postcards. Filled two out with the pen from the tab. Picked up two stamps at the bodega nearby and dropped em in the mailbox while shuffling back home.
It had been decades since I had been here. Great burger, though not a fan of the pita it is served in. Good wine options.Food: 3/5
So maybe its not the fanciest bar/ restaurant in this neighborhood but the prices and service as well as surroundings overall are very promising Ordered Prosecco and it came fully filled not sure it’s the way they serve here in NY but comparing to places in Europe I’ve been to it caught me by surprise
The worst bar I ever been in New York service horrible food is bad that bad that I don’t want it to go for my dogs
