Made an online appointment for 10:00 A.M. Showed up for a hair cut and me and two other people sat out in the cold for half and hour and the doors never opened. Had high hopes for a neat experience that went unfulfilled.
I personally did not get a cut here, but two men in my family go here regularly for their haircuts. The experience is definitely worth every penny! They report that the warm towels and washes are relaxing, the staff is friendly, and all of the barbers give a great cut! I myself think the cuts last longer than the ones my husband has gotten at other salons.
I’ve been going to Kennedy’s for a few months now and have loved it. The atmosphere is great it’s always nice to be offered a beer upon arrival, too, they have great barbers, and the membership pays for itself. If you go once and enjoy it and are someone like me who gets a haircut every 2-3 weeks, you’d be better off paying for the membership. It’s either $55/haircut or $75/month for unlimited haircuts. While they have a good staff all around from what I’ve experienced, I recommend Javale. He’s very attentive to detail and is especially great working with beards.
The best place to get your haircut in all of Hartford county. The location is so convenient, located right in the heart of blue back square and the newly renovated store is breathtaking. With a pool table, beverages & a relaxed atmosphere it makes a delight coming to. Lindsay and Bryan are fantastic people and some of the best barbers I have ever been too I'm super particular with my hair they constantly deliver the best haircut. I cannot recommend this place more highly.
Today was my first experience at Kennedy’s. I have had many friends that recommended coming here. Carolyn did an excellent job on my hot towel shave. The receptionist was helpful and did everything she could. There were many issues with regards to the person purchasing a gift card to the shop. The service at that time was sub par and almost prevented me from even using it in the first place, but today I decided to give it a shot. Again there were problems with the gift card. The lead barber Bryan was not helpful and really did not care to help with the problem. He clearly felt it was more important to take pictures of his current clients haircut for his social media page. I was told by the manager that I needed to wait until he finished 2 clients before I could leave. I was left sitting in the shop for an additional 30mins until I ended up walking out. I am also bilingual and can understand when someone is talking about me in Spanish! I will not be coming back to this establishment. The service and level of professionalism was horrible!!
Been to this location more than once. Positives: Decent haircut. Nice atmosphere & warm towels. Pleasant receptionist. Negatives: The last experience was horrible, never been treated so rudely. It was obvious she was annoyed that a last minute appt. was made & she didn't get to go home early. I turned down the shampoo & shave. There are plenty of places to go in West Hartford center for $55, get a decent cut and be treated like an appreciated client.
I made an appointment for my fiancé to get his haircut, I wanted to treat him to something nice for himself. While the haircut and staff were wonderful, I was told that military was given a 15% discount upon asking. However, to our dismay the discount was for active military only, excluding veterans. Really? I’m disappointed in the customer service to say the least. Active military or veteran, each has served our country in some capacity. Do not advertise what you are not willing to honor. We will be bringing our business elsewhere from here on out.
Disorganized and chaotic visit which didn't even result in getting a haircut. So you call the number and get a service to book an appointment, the person on the line was rushed and only booked a beard trim in stead of a beard trim and a haircut. I found out later In the days leading up to the appointment I was asked to confirm via text, email and a phone call...I confirmed all 3 but a huge waste of time. Then comes the day of the appointment and I arrive to the address listed and it is also on Yelp.....guess what they have moved and are now in a different location. So I hustle back across town and pay for parking and finally find the new location. The place looks like it's still under construction, but ok it's new.....now come all the excuses that I wasn't booked to get a beard trim and a haircut! They can do one but not the other, but I can come back for the other service. They Joanactually told me because I was confused on and went to the old location and the booking issue.....Ok, so it is MY fault your location changed, None of your confirmation calls confirmed a new address and you still list the old location online, Yelp and other places. NONE mention the new address!!!! If the set up is this bad I can't imagine the cut is much better.....WALKED OUT.
I got a shave at Kennedy's Barber Club in West Hartford for Valentines Day from my wife. What a great experience!!! Relaxing and over all and excellent first time introduction. I recommend it to all. I will see you again!
