We went to visit some friends who rented a cabin. The cabin we were in was very spacious and clean. The view was absolutely gorgeous, located right down by the beach. I think we'll be planning on renting one soon just to get away. The cabin had all the amenities needed, kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave and plenty of seating at a dining table and living room area. It had two bedrooms and a bathroom with a porch out front.
Great spot to camp for visiting Powell River and Texada Island! Location is just past the Saltery Bay ferry terminal, about a 25 minute drive from Powell River. The site is quiet, well laid out, and right on the beach. We stayed in a tent site along the back side of the campground with the creek running by - so relaxing! Fire pits and picnic tables at each site. The bathrooms are clean and coin operated showers are hot with really good pressure. Good dish washing station. Nice grassy area for playing lawn games. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. They offer free firewood and have ice for sale at the office. Beautiful sunsets on the beach!! Definitely recommend!
Cabins: In the off season, it’s good value. It’s too expensive i.m.o. during their peak season July 01 - September-ish?. Very very basic cabins with the cheapest of everything inside prepare to get frustrated using anything. Nice views, love having fires on the beach. This place could Really benefit from adding wi-fi to their cabins, would justify the price a lot more.
We went there for three nights as a small getaway. Never been to the Sunshine Coast, but man-it was stunning. Our cabin was right on the edge of the beach and when the tide was in, it looked like there was just ocean. Absolutely stunning, though mattress not great for my back, and the mosquitos we weren’t expecting.
Beautiful views. Good price. All the cabins face onto a small bay where there are birds and seals hanging around. We stayed in cabin eight which is the newest smallest of all of them. It had heated floors! There is also camping and an RV park on the property. The admin was pretty hands off for our rental.
My family and I have stayed at Kent's Beach for a few years now. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Our kids love it here. Great access to the beach and so close to the ferry. Quiet and clean. We come back year after year - thank you!!!
Great resort right off the highway near the Saltery Bay ferry. Family and dog friendly. Clean, and hot showers! Beautiful, quiet beach. Ferry traffic is the only noisy part but we came on a busy weekend.
We were there recently and it started off bad. The owner was very unpleasant. There were some miscommunication but the owner definitely didn't handle it well. She was unprofessional. She talked to us like we are less than her as a person. We are already there and we took 2 Ferries to get there. If we can we would have left right there and then. A family get away ruined. Thanx to the very person running the place. I won't add a star at all if google only allows it.
Beautiful. quiet. cove like. sitting.. peaceful and great views of tuxedo Island and clean. cold. crisp. seethrough Pacific Ocean. Sea lions swimming in a bay.. Great host. Reasonable price rentals. Clean cabin's. Great for little kids and pet friendly.. accessible by wheelchair . 5 mins form ferry terminal... 20 minutes from the town/Powell River.
We stayed at one of the cabins... they are immaculate and there is a real community feel at the site. Kids running around playing games during the day but dead quiet at night for sleeping. Unfortunately, they book up sometimes years in advance. If you can get in, though, it's well worth the trip.
