The members of the Kentucky Wing of the CAP are dedicated volunteers who provide numerous services both to the state of KY and the nation.
CAP, the official US Air Force auxiliary, is a nonprofit organization with more than 60,000 members. CAP is tasked by the Air Force to perform 90% of the US inland search and rescue missions. Adult volunteers also perform homeland security, disaster relief and counterdrug missions at the request of government agencies. The members play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to nearly 27,000 young people in CAP's cadet program.
