Keystone Dental Care is a 501C-3 established in 1999 by local dentists and city leaders to address the disparity in access to oral healthcare services by providing dental treatment, education and home care instruction to low-income adult Tennesseans without dental insurance who meet federal poverty guidelines. The mission of Keystone Dental Care is:
1) To provide basic dental services
2) To provide patient education
3) To prevent and alleviate dental pain
4) To alleviate oral disease.
KDC started as a free dental clinic doing basic fillings and extractions. Over the years it changed to a fee for service facility providing services for those whose income is at the poverty level up to 200% of poverty. We now provide basic restorative services (composites and amalgams), surgical and non-surgical extractions, periodontal services including surgery, and comprehensive examinations including digital panorex and BWX as our screening diagnostics.
The mission of Keystone Dental Care is:
