OMG! The food was amazing! I was reluctant to order a Salmon Salad instead of “bar food” from a pub, but I’m so glad I did. What a great portion, cooked to perfection. Sat at the bar and got great drinks and fast friendly service from the bartender. The taco salad that someone else I was with got was Huge and very tasty as well. I love the renovations. Such an updated look on the inside to a historic building on the outside. I was only in there a few times before many years ago, since I’m not from area, but this will be my go to stop when in town visiting family.
We got served uncooked raw shrimp. It was awful. The beer was warm and if you're looking for some homemade Mac and cheese you're out of luck here. Kraft is all you get. If I wanted Kraft Mac n cheese I would make it myself in my boxers at home. Last but not least the chairs WOW the noisiest loudest most uncomfortable ever.
Dining with children is upstairs. Service was good, lots of beers on the list . The update with all the tvs is nice . Big bar Food was ok , we liked the cheese fries with cheese wiz the best.
I have been coming here as long as I can remember for nearly 20years. Always was a fun simple place for good eats and friendly atmosphere. Finally had a chance to go since the renovations have been done. Clean definitely, the white walls and elementary school drop ceilings really take away from the original place. But, atmosphere is one thing, bickering waitresses that ignore you while you’re patiently awaiting to be sat is not. Not a simple “hi, I’ll be right with you” but instead an eye roll and fighting for the next of… only two people coming in that entire 30 min. Remembering the nachos, they were epic. 3 people would be satisfied. Well, now you get basically a taco salad with some topping. Just a bowl/plate piled high with shredded lettuce to hide the meager plate that once was amazing. Then the chicken sandwich arrived… just the picture alone is all that’s needed for a restaurant sandwich to be judged. That is your standard size knife and salt shaker. Yes, you get one chicken tender and a 4” hunk of bread as your entree. No toppings, just a squirt of aioli sauce of sorts. Rubbery pink chicken. Stick to the wings if this is your kinda place to keep going. I’ll continue to go elsewhere. I am a 6 times a week restaurant diner, so I have a lot of experience .. perhaps too much
First time I've been here since they remodeled and it's REALLY NICE the new bar area is huge and open, the bartenders were super nice. We definitely will be coming back for dinner to check out the upstairs.
I ordered wings and fried for takeout and the food was pretty good. Ordering takeout you can never get the best food, but I was still happy with my order. I would say the wings could have used more sauce. Overall they were cooked well, but some lacked flavor because the lack of sauce. The fried were pretty good, however they were soggy instead of crisp. I will give them a pass on this one because it was takeout. Overall it was a good meal but I believe it would be better in the restaurant.
Place used to be much better.. The prices have gone up dramatically.. I understand the renovations probably cost a bit but 20 wings for $30 is a little crazy... Most places are 20 wings for $23 - $24 and better tasting. Service was OK. Food was OK. May come back, I don't know.
Stopped in for the 1st time ever for an unplanned lunch with the Hubs. We sat at the bar, and Becky, the barkeep, was personable and great. The food was fresh, hot and tasty my hubs had the Keystone burger and I had a patty melt. Good selection of beers, too. Nice local "watering hole" with good bar food; friendly regulars/patrons. We'll be stopping back in again.
They called themselves a wing company. Their wings are terrible, they taste half decent but they’re soggy and gross texture wise. I don’t know if they don’t deep fry them, or if they leave them sitting out for an hour or what, but it’s just nasty. The expensive beer was really warm. The waitress was nice, but since they re-did the place now everybody’s dressing in skimpy outfits. The wings again were a total and complete disappointment. In addition to the sogginess, they had next to no sauce, and I was served 7 “legs/drumsticks” and 3 of the superior “wing” wings. I will never eat there again. Quite disappointing since they were great before renovations. If you actually want good wings where you can choose the wings over the drumsticks, go to the 248 Diner. Vastly superior to these clowns.
Ever since their new renovation, it’s like they had a renewed surge of energy. The staff were super friendly, super accommodating, and the wings are freaking awesome. All the flavors are not online I would highly recommend you go inside the list of flavors are good.
