The best service and Doctor Rizwana Khan is amazing. My parents are so happy
I'm giving this Dr's office one star because there is no option not to give any. Tell you more, I couldn't even finish my first and thanks God the last appointment. Frankly speaking it was not an appointment, it was waste of time because this doctor's office with such excellent reviews could even do the blood work, because The Lady went home, and no one never informed me that there is no way they could do blood test if you work till 5 pm as the majority people do. As I was told the blood work and cardiogram were supposed to be done for each new patient and that all this could be done at once at the office. That's why I agreed and scheduled an appointment at 5:30pm. They scheduled appointment for the new patient knowing that they couldn't do their work, which means that don't care about their patients at all. They just want you to come so they can bill your insurance. Of course, they said sorry a couple of times and advice to come tomorrow morning or the other day but there is no way you could do such a simple thing as a blood work because The Lady works till 5. After advice to find any other lab to do the blood work I decided to leave, not finishing the appointment because if could find a lab I could find another doctor's office. I have to check if they bill my insurance after such a "visit", since they didn't do anything except talking. If they bill, I have to report them. In conclusion, if you are a working person with a family to take care of and the thing to do, please do not waste your time like I did. Just imagine if they can't handle an appointment for the new patient for the regular check-up, how could they mess if you need serious medical help. Please find another doctor's office!
Today was my first time here as a new patient moved up from South Jersey. I got my labs done, EKG, vitals, and went over my health history. Everything felt very thorough and everyone was very professional and friendly. I felt comfortable which is good when it comes to doctor visits and in two weeks I have a follow up for all of my results and I’ll be meeting Dr. Khan. I am happy that I’ve found a new primary doctor.
I like the office but they’re so hard to get in touch with via phone. Went in for labs on a Thursday and I was told “call us on Monday for the results” first of all, shouldn’t they be calling me with results? Called about 7 times on Monday with no answer. Called 4 times on Tuesday and was eventually left on hold for a half hour, hung up and called back and left a voicemail. Now they’re closed on Wednesday. Something could be wrong with my labs and I’d have no idea because I can’t get through to the office.
Dr Khan is one of the most fine doctors that I have met. She has the attention that a patient needs and requires when needed. Her whole practice is very responsive and all working on the same page and very alert. I have recommended all my friends and family to visit Dr Khan as she, by far is one of the most amazing doctor i have visited.
The staff here was lovely. Wait time was minimal. Exam was thorough. The lab results were read incorrectly and they wanted me to come back for another test because of their inability to understand the simple explanation for this value's abnormality. They also wanted me to make yet another appointment to come back to discuss the rest of my lab results which were all within normal limits, I was able to see the results on the Quest patient portal. The practice, to me, seems like a money maker. They want you to make multiple appointments to address a singular issue, more on this below. My main issue is with the referral process. With my insurance the referral needs to be electronic. I got to the specialists office for my appointment and they stated they never received the electronic referral. I called the PCPs office right away and the APN stated she doesn't know how to do an electronic referral. I'm not sure how you can accept an insurance plan but be completely unfamiliar with their processes. I ended up having to cancel my appointment with the specialist after already arriving and having secured a babysitter. I fianlly spoke with the PCP's office manager later that week and he was able to electronically send the referral just a little too late. The second issue is that they only write referrals for a few months so if you need regular visits to a specialist they force you to make another office visit. This is not only expensive but time consuming. Other PCPs I have been to in the past will write a referral good for a year so that you can get all of your preventative referrals at your annual physical on another note: I'm still baffled at the need for a referral for an annual skin screening And if you've had a recent physical, they will write a referral if you call. Unfortunately my former PCPs are too far or don't accept my current insurance coverage. Because of these issues I'm going to be looking for another PCP. UPDATE: Had them as the PCP on my card and didn't have time to find a new PCP before requiring a referral so I had to go back. The NP wrote scripts for me and spelled my name wrong not once but TWICE even after correcting her. I also just received an almost $900 bill for labwork done at this office. Apparently they had my date of birth incorrect as well on the lab requisition form that was filled out. Luckily I called Quest and they asked why a minor was calling they had my birthday listed at February 2018 making me the ripe old age of 4 years old! The Quest representative got it fixed right away, but thankfully I was smart enough to question the bill.
Staff is not competent, we signed in upon coming in and had to wait one hour before being told we actually didn’t have an appointment that day. When I asked why no one told us that when we signed in, I was told that the staff doesn’t know patients’ names. We never get calls to remind of our appointments, and the staff routinely confuses family members with the same last name and mixes up their medical histories. This has happened before taking weight/blood pressure, and also when we have been called to be told about test results. Doctor also comes in late, sometimes by half an hour. She gives thorough check ups but it’s not worth everything else we’ve experienced. Would not recommend this doctor unfortunately, we’ve wasted our time the multiple times we’ve come here.
