The selection of clothing at this store is really good. The people who work there have always been very nice to me, however, don't expect to get much from selling or taking store credit for your kids clothes there. However, for the prices and as fast as kids grow out of outfits, this place is definitely worth a stop!
Really unorganized. I went in to sell some old items and to look for very specific things. I think there was a new girl that originally helped me and I asked how long the wait would be and she made it seem like it wouldn't be long. I ended up waiting over an hour and I did have my 13 month old with me. They did have a play area for kids but the toys in there were in horrible condition. As I was waiting I shopped around and found the things I was looking for so I put three things on hold up front at the register while I waited for them to be done with my appraisal. Finally, one of the ladies there told me they were ready for me. Once I got to the register I told them that I had one more item on hold. Then the new girl informed me that she accidentally sold one of the items I put on hold because she "didn't know". Which is really inconvenient because of course, being a resale shop, they only have one of each item. I thought after going to the location in Frisco this one would be nice too but it's not. The owner needs to be take more pride in their store and teach employees better customer service/retail skills in general.
First time in the store- loved the quality and pricing for maternity clothes! Was treated poorly by staff member Aquarius at check out though. She was rude, rang up my items incorrectly and refused to double check the tags to verify the correct price. Will not be back to this location- there are many in the Dallas area and will take my business elsewhere.
To Associate at Kid to Kid in Plano Female with long brown hair: I am sorry that the store you are working is closing and you might be out of a job but somehow I see this as karma on your part for being so rude to customers and potential customers. Maybe your lack of customers service skills has a lot do due with why the store is to close. My experience: I will never do business with Kid to Kid any location again. I went to sell items and was told that it would be tomorrow or the next day before they would be ready. I checked back the next day and was told 'I told you Monday' the lady that works at this location is very rude well until I showed up 3 days later demanding my items back only to find out that the owner had taken some of my items out of the store and to Fort Worth. I had at this point not received any payment for my items. I am unsure if this would be considered larceny but it is to close for my liking. Then when looking over the counter I noticed some of my other items with someone else name on them. When I brought this to the associates attention she tried to tell me she knew they were my items and she just put the paper there. The outcome: The items that were wrongfully removed from the Plano location by the owner I did take cash due to the fact I had no more time to waist on bad business ethics of the Plano Kid to Kid location. The rest of the items I have retained possession of and will be donating them to a much better cause and operation. A operation that is truly about helping others in the community and not about ripping people of the community off as did Kid to Kid- 6405 W. Parker Rd #320, Plano, Tx 75093.
The clothes are all very organized, the Toys are in decent condition for the price and the staff is friendly and helpful. I get all my kids clothes there now and you would never guess that they're hand-me-downs and I'm only paying 1/4 the price.
I will never shop/sell with kid to kid ever again I brought in a bin full of items most had tags still on them and some my kid wore once also a walker in great condition they offered me 37.00 dollars and I politely declined. I went to pick up my items and they thought I wouldn't notice everything with a tag was missing I went back to ask for my items and they were already tagging stuff, they had one of my brand new items priced at 40 dollars when that item was brand new and didn't even cost 40 dollars but offered me 37 dollars for everything.last time I will ever go in a kid to kid.
We enjoy coming here on occasion. They have a great selection, that said, don't bother bringing your items here if they aren't in style, perfect condition, and neatly pressed. If you do meet all of those criteria be prepared to get barely a $1 an item. However, for those of us who benefit from you - I've had some great maternity jeans, great baby stuff, swimwear, and good baby dresses.
I have recycled my grandchildren’s clothing for several years here and also purchased many items for both boys and girls. However, recent experiences have convinced me to find another resale store for both resale and purchase. Racks are very thin with quality clothing and resale value of high quality brand name clothing is deplorably low. Repeating this three times in a row triggered my picking up the resale items and finding another store!
The new owner told me to "be sure and bring in your items! We're taking a lot right now from all seasons." So, I did. Drove 40 minutes actually thinking it'd be worth my time. Waited nearly an hour and got offered... $1.99. 2 items. Don't waste your time.
I went to sell. I brough two containers with me. After waiting...I was told he got 9 items and paid me 9$. First of all I was never told how much I would get paid for my items. Never showed me the items he took. How would I know if he only got 9 items? That day was hectic for me so I just wanted to leave after waiting. When I got home my container were a lot lighter. I checked the container and a lot of things were gone! A lot! For 9$ ?!!??! A breathable crib border -like new- for a 1$?????? I can go on and on. I decided not to go back. For one, it was 40 mins away. Second, I was annoyed to think that someone can rip you off that way. I am not a "write a review " type of gal, but I had to. If you go, ask how much you will be getting for you item. Ask them to show you what they took. A complete waste of my time and money.
