Kim’s Convenience Stores was founded in 1985 and is a chain of 25+ convenience stores located in Texas and Oklahoma. These locations include former SmithTex, Texstop, and several other small independently owned stores. Other convenience store brands they operate include Shop N Hop and Elkhart Food Center.
Many locations offer Chevron, Conoco, Exxon, Phillips 66, Shell, and unbranded gasoline. Most locations also feature Fried food, BBQ, or Kim’s Pizza.
In 2008 the company acquired the TexStop stores located in Athens, Texas and in 2009, the company acquired SmithTex convenience stores in Atlanta, Texas.
The headquarters are located in Palestine, Texas.
