We are having a wonderful experience so far in the LTACH side. My husband has been receiving great care from all the staff. I want to thank a few people in particular: Diego, Stefan, Eva, Fernando, Mao, Michelle, Edna, Gerri, Tracy, Leonard, Joey, Holly and Della. All the doctors have also been amazing, and it’s nice to receive the continuation of care from the previous hospital we were at. The leadership team has also been wonderful on the few occasions we met and spoke. Don’t be afraid to speak up and communicate any questions or concerns, because the team will clear up anything that might be misunderstood and will follow up with whatever needs to be done. It’s definitely scary bringing a loved one to a new place, but we could not be more pleased with the care we have received this far. Kudos to all.
My mom has been at Kindred for over a month and has received excellent care. They are really working to get her off of mechanical ventilation. Her case worker Marilyn has been so helpful, along with Della in making sure she has everything she needs and checking on her frequently. I even asked to have her moved to a single room since my mom is unable to speak and they were able to accommodate my request. I’d also like to thank one of her nurses, Briahna. She is so happy to help and answer all of my questions even when she’s busy. Thank you, Kindred for taking care of my mom. I know she’s on her way to recovery.
I'm giving 4 stars because of two particular people of at this facility, Fernando, my dad's physical therapist and Della Moore, patient relations advocate. Fernando and my father had an amazing rapport. He loved and encouraged my dad as if he was his own father. Fernando pushed my father to have the will to stand and take the necessary steps, so he could gain the independence he so desperately wants again. I first met Della when my dad was in ICU. As we began to speak, she noticed I was upset even through my mask, so she simply asked, "Do you need a hug?" So I found myself in the arms of this lovely woman weeping over the uncertainly of my father's future. The Lord definitely used Della to bring peace over my mind and heart. I stayed in continual contact with Della, and she would give me updates on my father's progress. She would go by and visit, which made my mom and me so happy. Della even brought my dad hot "regular" bacon when she knew he hadn't eaten any breakfast and shared how he dislikes turkey bacon. I am beyond grateful my father had these two individuals to watch over him during his time at Kindred.
i’m big on reviews, and when we first heard about Kindred hospital, i went to their site and looked at their reviews. My mom has been here for three weeks and i would like to share our experience. The nurses, doctors, therapists and admin staff have been attentive and very informative. Astride and Thelma took really good care of my mom when she was on the acute floor. Grace and Diego from physical therapy have been amazing. She was just transferred to the acute rehab section today, and i’m very excited to see her progress in the upcoming weeks.
My care within kindred was wonderful. My experience in ICU with my nurse Cindy was rewarding. she would go out of her way to help me. She was was very truthful. She always checked on me even when I was transferred out of ICU. Della would come check on me every day she is a friend that helpful to me and my partner.
No one ever wants to be in a rehab situation. Kindred Hospital certainly made the stay as pleasant as possible. The rehab was thoroughly intense and educational. The nurses were personable and also competent. The hospital is so peaceful in a lovely location. Being home is much better than being in any rehab but we thought Kindred was excellent.
The nurses and the CNAs have been so helpful during my husband's stay I don't feel I have to worry about his safety. Even during a hurricane I feel he is in good hands. Case management has been open to explain anything about his progress. . Della Patient relations representatives show concern not only for the patients but for family members as well.Tuesdays ICT rounds were so informative and helps to understand the the care. The doctors are great in the care and healing process. They don't just exam and walk out they express what they are doing and what needs to be done. Physical therapist have taken great care of husband. They help to get him out of bed and sitting in the chair. I'm very satisfied with the care and treatment my husband is getting at kindred hospital.
I very happy to have met Della Moore patient advocate and the help and support she has given. She is is an asset to this hospital. John physical therapist has been very instrumental in my recovery and willing to listen. Kindred has a great ARU team and I would recommend this hospital as well as the nursing staff. The Director of the ARU runs a tight ship but she is good in the healing process. This provided me another chance at life. Thank you for everything.
Overall this hospital has done an amazing job with my son. He went in with a trach and feeding tube and chest tubes and within a matter of weeks he has made a complete turn around due to their care. Fernando and Stefano in physical therapy were wonderful. The nurses were great and patient managers were always available.
My experiences with Kindred Hospital South Florida was excellent, the physical therapy and occupational were great the way they encourage and motivated is wonderful. The Nurses team and CNA were great, caring with the patient. Thanks to everyone that had something to do with my care.
