King Hardware Company was Established back in 1925. The company was started by the Grandparents of Joe King. The business has been in operation for 80 plus years. Joe Kings parents took over the business some years later. Wilma King (Mother of Joe King) is well known around the Hendersonville area. Mrs. King was a 7th grade Math teacher for many years at Hendersonville Middle School. Alot of our customers are former students of Mrs. King.
Joe King went to college to get his degree in Economics, and start teaching Economics at Applachain State College. After the passing of his father, Joe returned home in 1983 to help his mother run the business and keep the doors open. Joe decided there was a need for a Equipment Rental Store in Hendersonville that offered Quality equipment. Along with his mother they turned the once known King Hardware Company into the thriving business called King Equipment Rental.
