King Kullen - Rockville Centre

I have no idea how this store is still in business. It's a total rip-off. $9 for a cooked chicken?? $8 for a box of cereal?? Unreal. Go to target. Much better prices on groceries. The same cereal that King kullen sells for $8, Target had for $5. King kullen clearly takes advantage of their customers. They know Rockville center residents have money to spend.

Although the priducts and setup are great - the staff: Customer Help area & cashiers are rude, nasty & unprofessional! They used to be more polite but the last several years they seem to be hiring from some sort if criminal element.

Employee "Jessica" is very rude. I was in there shopping with my daughter and was cashing out some bottled waters amongst other things in cashier lane, not self checkout. Waters weren't in their system so I had to run back to the isle and take a picture of the price tag. I cash out and as I'm walking out she stops me telling me I gave them wrong price. Turns out I took a picture of the wrong tag that was directly next to the bottled water. She tells me like 5 times that I used the wrong price and grabs my receipt. She then has me wait there while she helps another customer and tells me to go to customer service. She acted like I was trying to steal and came across rude. Pretty sure that as a grocery store employee you can't detain someone over a wrong price tag. I've been shopping here for years, not anymore.

I'm sick and tired of this place . The black woman who works the self checkout is so rude. She accused me of stealing.briight the manager over and I showed them both my receipt. She claims she only saw me ring up part of my order . You know maybe if they gave our bags again I could have bagged my merchandise and it wouldn't ve out in the open Never will I shep here again

What happened to this place? Since it was remodeled it has been steadily getting worse. Especially the bakery, half the size that it once was. If you're coming here for a good selection of fresh baked food or natural preservative free foods don't bother. They've made huge cuts to the amount of inventory here. I would give it one star but it gets two for friendly and helpful staff. RVC deserves a much better supermarket. Such a shame how the bakery has been decimated.

Dorothy the cashier has a nasty attitude she is only nice to white people and this is not the first time this has happen can’t be a cashier and be nasty to colored and I was bagging my own grocery.

Very Clean Comfortable Shopping

I just left self check out at the store. I am new to the area. I was greeted aggressively and rudely by cashier telling me if I can read the screen? I said to her I don’t have my glasses. Then she just laughs and walks away. Terrible customer service. Manager please train your employees properly for customer service. I wouldn’t even give this place one star service it’s not worth it.

Quick and easy. Most items are too expensive

Big spacious aisles, not claustrophobic. Cheeze is expensive. Save a buck or two per pound on cheese at Foodtown in Hewlett. It was my 3rd time in the spacious King Kullen, and I was loving it, but price may take a priority. My first time since I got back from Neptune, so it's been a long time since I bought a bag of mixed greens, thoroughly washed, ready to eat, so salad shouldn't be a punishment if you don't have to wash and dry it. Lots of similar bags, I took the first bag of Spring Mix that jumped out at me. I get it home, and it's mostly ok, but some of it is starting to wilt pretty bad. Shades of disintegrating into slime. So, what did I relearn today? When you go for a bag of pre-washed salad things, check the "Use By" date. Today is Aug 26, and the bag's Use By date is Aug 26. I'll bet that if I "leafed" through the bags, I could have found one with a later Use By date. Next time.
