King Memorial is an elevated train station in Atlanta, Georgia, serving the Blue Line and part-time on the Green Line of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It is named for Martin Luther King, Jr. and nearby Memorial Drive. This is one of my favorite "Marta" stations: the mural there--I always have to pause and look at it--is spectacular, as are the views from the upper windows
MARTA needs to get it together with the maintenance of this station. Being named after not just an Atlanta icon, but an American icon, it should be treated to a higher standard. Beautiful artwork outside on the station though.
The worst transit system in America!! Trust me, I’m from Atlanta. If you come to Atlanta try your best NOT to take Marta because, they always have delays or a train sitting on the track or some unexplainable delay. 30 years of service and they still haven’t gotten it right. Smh. Everything takes over 1hr 20mins.
Dis is a very quiet station at night. It's not that hectic n da day. It's quaint. Very beautiful view.
If you are trying to get from point a to point b I would recommend this train station the commute is very easy I would recommend this place to anyone
Marta stop is close to Georgia State, Grant Park. There are also tennis courts and shopping. No restroom in Marta station a draw back
Parking at king memorial train station has been closed for weeks now ! I live in the area and It's very inconvenient for me to have to park elsewhere/getting stuck in traffic and risk getting ticketed or booted due to lagging painters !
clean station with a great view of downtown. feels relatively safe late at night and early in the morning.
A relatively simple station, with very few passengers ever boarding or exiting.
It's right across from the Mercy Care outreach center.
