Great porch! Got attitude from the server when I pointed out that my deep fried role was completely burnt, even inside from being torn and the tuna was cooked to bone dry. When I pointed this out, he snickered at me and didn't even offer to replace it or ask me if I wanted something else and I was charged for something that was inedible. Weak.
I have been going to King of the Roll Sushi for many years. Owner & Chef, John Wayne , selects all of the fish personally… his rolls, sashimi & nigiri are by far the best tasting in the county because of his relationship with the fisherman that supply him. He is fun and gracious…if he suggests something to try just do it! All of the dishes on the menu are worth a taste. Good sake & beer selection. Everything is abundant and prices are reasonable…if you love good sushi, a fun, unique atmosphere… you just better go there or try the takeout…the escolar special roll is a fav! Enjoy! Vegetarian options: A good selection Parking: No problem
Great sushi in a cute little place. Highly recommend for any time, we had dinner and were served and out within 30 minutes! Service was amazing, sushi was amazing, and would 10/10 recommend.
These guys are the best! We came in Tuesday night and everything in town was closed past 8pm, these guys where open and happy to have us held the doors open and served us the best rolls with the best hot sake, we liked them so much we came back Wednesday evening and they remembered us and had an even better meal! If you’re traveling through San Fran give these guys a try , worth the drive and the sushi’s even better than the service!
Lovely food and service. It's very casual dining, sitting outside on a patio that is just off a bike path ! But so relaxed and fun. Kid-friendliness: Patio is half dozen round tables that seat 4. Perfect for people with kids and pets.
This is a really nice little place for fresh sushi and reasonable prices. Only few servers doesnt treat you well other than that it's a great place and good food.
the best sushi place in all marin. the food is excellent and the owner of the place is very attentive and friendly, 100% recommended
Quite good, and well above average, and not expensive. Unassuming place with impressive food, operating in the historic Larkspur train depot, which is cool, but it's not lit well for ambiance, but pride of food served is evident. Very generous slabs of fish on the nigiri sushi! Johnny is serious about serving quality fish at more than reasonable prices. Kid-friendliness: Very casual, not an issue. Parking: 6 or 8 spots in the lot I'd guess. Never a problem getting a space. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy roll in, minor bumps to negotiate.
The rolls seem to be their strength. Nice and helpful staff. I always get ours to go. Atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Outdoor area could be nice...but, unfortunately, it's not.
The older man who makes the sushi is extremely nice and friendly
