King's Liquor

King's Liquor is a my choice in South KC. Easy to get to from I-35 -it's just off of 151st... Just turn south and it's right behind QuikTrip. It has a great selection of beer, wine, and liquor. The selection of COLD beer is great and the Beer Cave has some great deals - plus - they have 30-packs of Coors Banquet - Yellow Jacket Beer if you watch the TV show 'Yellowstone'. The staff is always super helpful, and take the time to actually help you. Plus, they are very knowledgeable, but aren't afraid to switch out employees to get an expert to help you. One of my favorite things about King's is that they have a rotating selection of fun items, from footballs that are actually koozies, to the latest oddball creations. Plus, and not many places do this - they always have great displays. Why - because they have the room to do it. You won't find yourself having to squeeze through an aisle like most stores... In fact, King's has shopping carts for your convenience. It is always clean and well-stocked. I highly recommend stopping by.

very friendly service. As soon as I walked in I was asked can we help you find anything? The store layout andd signs made it easy to find the wine I needed. The beer section was well stocked. The wine prices are reasonable.

My favorite local party favor store! Always has fun music and a friendly atmosphere. Staff will go over and beyond to help you and if the store doesn't have what you want, you can put in a special order request and they will try their hardest to get it for you. Always getting new items. And has a GENIUS "pick 6" selection where you can either mix it up with a whole 6 pack or just buy 1 or 2 items that you'd like to try. And if there's something that you want to try and it's not in the pick six, they'll open the pack up and make it a pick six!! Every time I come in I see a staff member cleaning and dusting, I can always point out the smell of Lysol, lemon scented Clorox wipes, or the glorious smell of Pinesol when they're moping. The new loyalty program for allocated bourbon is pretty frustrating but understandable. Shop here enough and those points really add up!

I much prefer Kings Liquor over big box stores or super sized Liquor stores, even though the price might be a few pennies higher here. The selection is always great, and the staff is always so friendly and helpful!!

10/10 on bourbon selection always have my favorite stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bonus points for having discounts for military, Garmin, and Olathe med! Much love to this small locally owned liquor store

Have never had an issue in the store and actually enjoyed buying from there as a couple of the employees ,Charlie,Tristian, and Robyn have always been so helpful and always have the best recommendations. Today though after supposedly some other situation that happened with a past employee that I happen to know personally, the cashier, Kaylee, refused to check me out, and put me in an awful position as she discussed business matters that had nothing to do with me out-loud even with a handful of customers there who were waiting. I really felt as I was unwelcome to even be at the store even though I have never had an issue there. Thankfully another employee was there and got me rang up so I could leave. Not an experience I would have like to have. Highly disappointed- hoping to be able to get in touch with the owner soon in regards to this behavior displayed towards customers.

The liquor store is cool, but when I went in it seemed every worker was drunk… especially the man with the weird haircut, I think Nate was his name; I could smell the alcohol on him and he seemed very impaired for it only being 10am… other that it was alright I guess but the staff could use a lot of improvement.
