My Lucky Brand boots needed new soles because I wore them so much. King's made them look great again and for a reasonable price. The place has a unique mom and pop charm that you just don't find anymore. They were so friendly and it felt great to support a locally owned business.
I needed partial replacement on the soles of my Birkenstocks and had looked into mailing them off. I decided to check locally first. Going into Richmond one day I just Googled shoe repair and King's came up as closest to my location. What a find! The price was lower and the service was great. I highly recommend this shop!
I heard about King's Shoe Repair from a contact on social media. I'm glad that I did because I'm very happy with the service. I took my favorite pair of Cole Hahn loafers here to get the heels replaced. I actually was about to buy another pair because I hadn't found a shop locally that could replace the heels. I spent $20 to replace the heels on a $150 pair of loafers. That's winning!! I dropped off my loafers on a Saturday and picked up on a Monday. I've referred family, friends, and coworkers here and they've all been pleased with the work. You won't be disappointed with King's Shoe Repair.
I WOULD NOT GIVE THIS SHOP THE BENEFIT OF A STARbut I had to. I've been in the footwear industry for over 38 years and have had the pleasure of working with some amazing and talented cobblers. This place did horrible and incomplete work and over charged for it. There are other shoe repairs in the Richmond area and I would you to NOT give this place your business.
Had 3 pairs of heel tips replaced and they did a great job. Fast service and a convenient location. The only downside for me is that they only accept cash/check, no credit cards. Will continue to have shoes repaired here.
I brought a leather binder that needed stitching, he said he'd call me within two days with a price, never called and a week later I showed up and he said he couldnt fix it...
They have done an excellent job of keeping the heels on my old Johnston & Murphy loafers looking great, and I would recommend them without reservation.
I've taken a couple of pairs of my nicer shoes here to have heels cut down and repaired. Nice job. It took a week to get them back, but I will be using them again.
