This club is fantastic. I joined recently one of the adult training courses. I knew nothing about rowing but much less on a single boat. By the 6th class I was able to row long distances, spin, circle, stand on the boat …. Everything! And everything is because of the great programatic approach and the amazing trainer we had, Sam. Few times I have been in a training for such a difficult practice and gotten so far so quickly. Sam is fantastic, great coach, very precise with his directions, fun and encouraging. 10/10 for this club.
BE CAREFUL RENTING AS A VENUE ! We were shown around the venue by a nice young man, but it was revealed that they don’t know when building work that will affect the balcony will finish in July ! No acknowledgment that this should affect price not that we’d take it with the balcony and no reply when we politely declined ! Wow.
Who's going to pay for the damages on my boat Because your rowing boats keep going too fast!!!!!!!!!!!
Very pretty walk to Kingston bridge. Long 4 seat boats used for training schools.
The whole riverbank is stunningly beautiful, relaxing to watch calm Thames water flowing and the beautiful views are breathtaking. Plenty of cafés available for snacks and drinks and then there is the town centre which makes you feel you are in a totally different European city center. Thoroughly enjoyed a day there.
An excellent club for all age groups. I have particular knowledge of the Junior Section which has first class coaches who inspire their young rowers to give of their best. The junior section is going from strength to strength with youngsters representing Great Britain in various international events. KRC Juniors have had well deserved wins at the National Schools Championships and at Regattas and Heads.
This club has a thriving membership of all ages and is truly open to all! There are squads of varying abilities with many professional coaches and also several learn to row courses run during the year. If you want to try rowing you could not ask for a better spot on the Thames to do it!
Friendly and ambitious club. True club spirit. Science behind the training. Had a great year training with senior men squad for Henley Royal Regatta 2018, which ended with qualifying for Diamond Scull´s. Definitely recommend joining! :
Great learn to row programme. Friendly atmosphere. Social group of people who enjoy training as well as downtime. Thursday evenings there is normally food made by volunteers and served in the licensed bar, with very reasonably priced drinks. Training camps for the more serious but also casual rowing to be pursued. Diverse and welcoming environment with all age groups from juniors to octogenarians. Great sunrises and sunsets to be had on a beautiful stretch of the non tidal Thames, from Teddington to Molesey lock. Plus the bird life, and every kind of water faring vessel. Great place to be.
Wonderful rowing club! I joined as an absolute novice when i moved to London, it became my life for 2 years and I'm gutted that i left the area and subsequently the club. Beautiful stretch of water and a wonderful social scene!
