Kinser Music Studio, Piano Tuning & Service is accepting new piano, voice, and guitar students on all learning levels from beginners through advanced, ages 5 to adult. We also offer piano tuning & service throughout Northwest Arkansas.
I began studying music at the age of seven and took private lessons into my 20's. Many of my teachers were church pianists and had classical training. I also studied music at California State University in Long Beach,
California. I have a love for all types of music, but my greatest love is gospel music. I especially love training church musicians in accompaniment techniques and hymn arranging. I grew up playing for Sunday School Departments, accompanying the church choir, and accompanying numerous soloists and groups at Calvary Baptist Church in Bellflower, CA. I have been the church pianist at Holiday Island Baptist Church in Holiday Island, Arkansas since 2009. My husband, Ken Kinser, is the Minister of Music at Holiday Island Baptist Church and directs congregational singing, our choir, and works with all our special music groups and soloist. My husband is also a soloist and one of the great joys in my life is performing gospel concerts with him at churches, assisted-living facilities, nursing homes, restaurants, parks, and music theaters. There is so much research and information available to show the profound effects that a solid and well-executed music training program can provide. Children tend to be much stronger students--there are benefits in all subject areas but especially in the areas of math and languages. The process of lessons teaches children excellent study skills and also to accept responsibility and to be accountable. Students develop strong analytical skills and their comprehensive abilities become deeper. Students of music are recognized in their schools as more likely to accomplish their goals and to be highly achievement-oriented. Perhaps the greatest benefit, besides the lifelong gift of music, is that these children become very self-confident and poised with a sense of dignity and purpose. Please call me at 479-981-3454.
