Kips Castle Park

I have visited this lovely building a few times. The most recent was about 12 days ago to see the holiday decorations. The tree there is absolutely gorgeous! I love the armor...makes me think of a knight in shining armor.lol. The county is doing a great job in highlighting this princely house.

Girls if you like to have dramatic queen-like old century effect for your pre-nup or wedding photos shoot, this is one of the best I can recommend. When we went there the castle was close so we are unable to get inside the but there is stairs leading to access second floor and it is also perfect spot for photoshoot. If you are planning to do 48hrs visit in NJ includes this place and the Van Vleck house and Garden which 10mins away.

I went around 4:30 on a weekday afternoon and pretty much had the whole space to myself. Well, shared it with a dozen deer coz hey, it's October

Great place for taking pictures and photo sessions. Very small nothing to do beside pictures and maybe enjoy view of New york . No admission fees . We didn't enter the castle , just from outside, very nice.

Adorable architectural journey into the past. I could spend hours there! Unfortunately, the second floor was not permitted to access.

A real hidden gem. A beautiful castle, very close but hidden. A great place to take photo’s that are unique. The grounds are kept in good condition. Amazing to stumble upon this place in our own backyard. If you are in the area, I highly recommend visiting. You might even be lucky enough to see a Princess wondering the grounds like we did. Fun for the whole family.

Went on a Sunday. Not open. No signage anywhere. Went around the castle and found broken glass, ply wood, and peeling paint on the property. Not very impressed.

Closed due to COVID. Not much else to see/do here. Don’t waste your time travelling to see this place. You will be disappointed.

Beautiful landscape. Quiet and peaceful.
