Kirkwood Public Library

This is a fantastic library. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. The old time charm of the building provides a relaxing environment. They have a 3D printer for public use. The computers are in great condition and the Wi-Fi connection is excellent. The video selection is up to date with new releases. The library is conveniently located in downtown Kirkwood with plenty of coffee shop's and restaurants in walking distance. The children's book room is top notch with a huge selection of children's books and other children's media. If they don't have the book you are looking for they can usually order it from other libraries. The bathrooms are always clean and in good working condition. It a wonderful resource for citizens and one of the highlights of Kirkwood.

I was a guest at the library and was warmly welcomed and accommodated marvelously. The library has up-to-date computers, scanners, and copy machines that made the paperwork tasks I needed to accomplish easy to complete and the staff was eager to help me with any equipment that I wasn't able to figure out. Great service.

Been going here for years and years. Always nice staff and wide selection of books and films. And the services downstairs are great too for younger visitors. Don't know why anyone wouldn't enjoy this library. Very straightforward approach, clean environment and quick checkout.

I've been coming here for 30+ years. Many things have obviously changed, but this has always been a wonderful place. The staff is helpful and friendly. The redesigned 2017ish children's area is great!

This is honestly one of my favorite libraries in the city. I love how quiet it is and yet so lively when it comes to family. I love working on homework and projects here. So bright and welcoming right in the middle of Kirkwood. I love going here even though I don't live in the area. There are perfect places for quiet and family to bond. They have such great selections of books and movies and more.

Nice library inside a historic building in downtown Kirkwood. Has 3D printers you can use, which is awesome. Also has a nice selection of Blu-rays and DVDs, of course. They have a lot of video games but they’re all old – Xbox 360 and Wii era. It’s not part of the St. Louis County Public Library group, so you can get a card at both and give you more opportunities to find ebooks and audiobooks in stock on services like Libby.

The Kirkwood Public Library is the best library I've ever used. Between the connected libraries there is a huge selection, and the website makes it easy to request and hold books. All your hold books end up on an easy to grab shelf and it's great. Their DVDs have long rental dates also which is rare to find. I moved away from Kirkwood last year but continue to use this as my library. The building itself is so nice and inviting.

Excellent service as always! I had to make an appointment to use the library computer to print and scan some paperwork today. Lynn could not have been more helpful. I was actually dreading going in because of the social distancing, need for an appointment, one hour timeslots, Knock at the door and give the secret password ok....just kidding. I never would have made it in and out in an hour if Lynn had not been so helpful and so delightful. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Kirkwood library!

When i need a little time to myself, i like to grab a coffee or tea, pick up a magazine and find a nice chair to settle in for an hour of quiet browsing. Or take the grandkids downstairs for them to pick a book or get acquainted with the childrens room.
