We wife, daughter, self have had occasion to use the emergency room several times over the past 7 years. My wife also stayed in the hospital for about a week after giving birth to our daughter. We have nothing but praise for the staff and doctors. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and caring.
I fell the evening prior while home alone with my two kids who have severe medical needs. I went to KVH ER the following morning at the request of my firefighter husband. I Lost consciousness, soiled myself while I was unconscious, no one witnessed my fall, and had a 1”long open head wound next to my temple and eye . Doctor did not want to see photos or hear the sound of my fall which was captured on my home seizure cameras. They were more concerned about my vaccination status than proper concussion/fall protocol. I was interrogated as to if I had vaccines, why I can’t have vaccines, which vaccines I can’t have, what happens if I get them. I questioned back why so many questions and was told “in case I receive one accidentally, they need to know what happens”. Needless to say I was appalled any medical place would accidentally give a vaccine that I did not give consent to. I was highly offended but tried my best to obtain my composure as if I stood my ground of the lack of care I would be deemed hostile, as told by prior incidents which I’ve had to fight for proper care with Kittitas Hospital departments. I was also placed in a back room that was poorly lit and equipped because I have a medical condition to wearing masks and shields but I compromised and wear the shield even though I’ll still have delayed bronchial breathing issues from wearing it. They assumed I wanted a transport to Harborview for the fall which wasn’t the case. It was mentioned a few times a fall like mine doesn’t necessitate a transport to Harborview. I did not want to be transported.never once did I ask. No one looked closely at my head wound that was close to my eye and I said there was chunky fleshy bits that came out when I regained consciousness after the fall. Doctor asked what I meant and still refused to look at it. I had to ask for a CT scan. He tried to ward me off from getting one. The CT scan came back within 10 minutes. A quick peak in the the door saying I can go and that it looked good. The following day I developed a stutter, I have oozing from my wound, dizziness and a headache and blurry vision. I just wanted proper care for my injury which I had to ask to get. It seemed like my vaccine status played into factor into discrimination on proper care. If you have major medical needs I highly suggest not moving to this area. This hospital highly lacks care and resources to properly care for children with complex needs and adults that don’t fall under their “yes mam” regime. We needlessly to say, are having to move because of this hospital. And this isn’t my first issue with this hospital in discriminatory practices.
Oh my gosh what a caring team of doctors, nurses and aids.. from the first contact Cathy in out patient care to the nurses aids and doctors. I'm going to list all names who treated me in some fashion with kindness, caring and respect!! CATHY. LANA KARA JORHE JESSICA KARI GREGG RANDY and Marta sorry if I got your name wrong and of course Dr. Petty!
If you want to be mocked behind your back and not believed as your describe your symptoms, this is the place for you! This clinic has wokester PAs. In the old building I even overheard PAs JD and JR make derogatory remarks about me, their patient. I realize now I should have reported these two to the DOH. I ordered my transcripts and found out they wrote snotty stuff in my file also. I was in a house fire recently and begrudgingly made an appointment for my cough. The MD I saw said he didn't have time to check my cough and told make another appointment at a later date. He was working with a trainee Order your transcripts! You'll see ... Trust and ethics are both missing here!
This is the worst hospital in the County and unfortunately the only one. They are luckily to even have a business license. They don't serve the people of this County well at all. I would recommend driving to Yakima to avoid this terrible establishment. You also better make sure you pay them for all the services that they don't disclose will cost money, if you don't they'll sue you and take you to court. Kittitas Valley Hospital should be ashamed of the way the treat the people that live in the valley. I will not be taking any business here unless it's an absolute necessity or emergency. And even then I'll expect to get screwed over by the billing department.
I am sad to see how many bad reviews there are for KVH Ellensburg, as we have had nothing but good care and interactions. I gave birth to my son, delivered by Dr. Casey who is an absolutely outstanding man! and we received amazing care. I chose to go without medication and everyone was very supportive and encouraging. Our choices were respected and we were treated well. Everyone was kind, helpful, attentive, and communicative with us. I felt very safe, cared about, and comforted. The food is also pretty good for the most part I particularly enjoy the spaghetti and their fruit options. There were times during pregnancy visits that we waited longer than preferable, but we also understand that they are very busy. We are thankful for the care we received and plan to continue going through KVH for future care.
KVH Family Medicine has consistently forgotten to record agreed-upon appt. times, as well as cancelled appts. without notifying me - this has happened 4 times in the past 6 months. I show up to the office to then be told I have no appt. scheduled and I should go home. Would not recommend.
Friendly and thorough they genuinely cared about getting me back to work safely.
Man these reviews are bad, but this wasn't my experience at all. At least not at this point in time. I was seen by Sam Devour. The staff and especially Sam PA were all very polite and treated me very well. I'm extremely thankful for the treatment I received, and can't thank Sam enough for his patience and professionalism. Thank you Sam & KVH staff!
The woman who was working the desk at the covid clinic around noon today was disgustingly rude to me and my husband. Unbelievable that that is how you treat patients. A sharp contrast to everyone else that works at the covid clinic who has always been kind and professional in the past
