Since spring of 2014, we have been providing quality hammocks and outdoor furniture for the best prices. Unfortunately, there is no longer a brick and mortar location. Kitty Hawk Hammocks is still alive, though. Keep a look-out for events and yard sales.
What started out as an idea, now becoming reality. Kitty Hawk Hammocks started growing as of December of 2013. Due to be open mid-March of 2014, it has come a long way. As we see our products, construction, and hard work all pay off, we are hoping for a successful first season here in the Outer Banks, NC.
Our hammocks are no ordinary hammocks.. These Hammocks are hand woven from 8mm soft-spun polyester ropes that are both weather durable and softer than cotton. The bed of the hammock is 55 inches wide x 80 inches long providing room for two adults. The hardwood spreader bar is coated with marine varnish to retain the glossy look and for longevity in the elements.
We also offer hammock chairs. Kitty Hawk Hammock Chairs are handwoven from miles of weather resistant polyester cord that has been soft-spun to provide a softer than cotton feel. These hammock chairs have a wider 47inch hardwood spreader bar for more shoulder room and an oversize seat that offers un compromised comfort. Easy to hang from any sturdy point 7.5 feet or higher. Designed to hold one person up to 275 pounds.
Our outdoor furniture is not your average, everyday furniture either! We provide the best quality material- Poly and Stainless steel metal. Features highly sanitized 100% polyethylene from post-consumer and post-industrial material. Poly promotes commitment to green manufacturing and appeal to a growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible products. Poly doesn't absorb water- making it immune to harboring harmful mold or bacteria. It will not splinter or suffer structural damage from termites, dry rot, fungi, or bacteria decay under normal residential use. There are no harsh chemicals used in the making that can leech into our environment. Suitable for all climates and conditions, color fade and flame resistant, solid color to the core! I dare you to find better furniture than that!
Since we are located in the beautiful Kill Devil Hills, NC in the Outer Banks, we wouldn't quite fit in if we didn't offer you fun beach stuff, too, right?
