This is a pretty good playground very close to other St. Joseph attractions. Make sure your kids are wearing socks and closed toe shoes because the playground is filled with loose rubber rocks rather than wood chips. Some parts of the playground look like they’ve been there since the 60’s, and are probably solid, but I was nervous for my small child to climb up. There’s a nice covered picnic area too where you can sit and have a snack or lunch. *Note the parking is not free but it’s really inexpensive. It’s worth checking out of you have little ones. There’s also a dog park, horseshoe toss, tennis court, basketball court and skate park, but none are particularly well maintained so measure your expectations and enjoy!
This is a pretty nice park. Has some outlets. Love throwing parties here. We just recently walked the tree line, pretty nice to look at. Their is a cute little family of deer living really close. Playground: They definitely have something for kids of all ages. Even the adult ones. Restrooms: Always clean free of obstruction a debris. Dog-friendliness: The dog park area is safe and definitely dog friendly. We see a few of the regulars. Cute furry friends. Picnic area: Plenty of space and seating. It is almost always kept clean.
This skate park is amazing!!!! We came to St Joe’s on vacation and were thrilled to find this hidden gem of skateparks. It had so much and my husband and 13 yr old son spent hours there - only downside is that you must pay for parking and the signs aren’t obvious-we didn’t see the sign and ended up with a $40 ticket but after appealing it the city didn’t make us pay. Don’t make our mistake and find the sign and the parking payment machine. It is well worth the parking fee to skate here.
Clean, spacious park with a variety of things to do. From skateboarding basketball, a dog park and playground. This is a great park to spend a few hours. Just be warned you have to pay to park.
The park is a nice little park. But I’ve spent the vast majority of my time at the skatepark. It’s not a bad little place and it’s def friendly for a lot of levels. There’s not a ton of great skateparks in the area but this one will get the job done.
A really nice park that has lots to do- dog park one for bigger and one for smaller dogs, skate park, mini tennis court, horseshoes, swings, playsets for older and younger children, and a baseball diamond. The restrooms are pretty nice and there's a large shaded pavillion. Overall it's a great park but do expect to pay for parking: $2/ hour, $5/ day, or $40 for a season pass. There is a decent amount of street parking as well if you're willing to walk. The only real downside to this park is it floods badly and turns much of the grass into a muddy mess.
Went to the dog park for the first time. Nice layout. Separate areas for large and small dogs. It was very wet and muddy, as it is early spring. There is a fee for parking starting April 1.
Beautifully maintained city dog park. Large area for dogs to play with separation for large and small dogs. The park has benches and provides waste bags and a water fountain. Kudos to the city of St. Joseph for offering a great place for dogs to play too!
Nice basketball court and looks like they have some nice playground toys too
I like this park. I just wish they didn't make where the dof park is right behind the little kids play park. When we there someone brought their dog who was not very well train or under their control and it was jumping all over little kids that were on or near the sidewalk and the owner tried to get it to the dog park. To me they should have put the dog park in the back near the basketball courts.
