Extensive green space with a ton of trees. Great place to hammock, have a picnic in the grass, a birthday party in the shelters, walk the trail, play sand volleyball or utilize the playground areas. Nice, quiet spot in an otherwise busier area of town. Playground: Multiple playgrounds of different construction type metal/rope, plastic/metal for different, fun experiences. Restrooms: Indoor Dog-friendliness: So much room for them to run and play. Picnic area: There is a shelter with several picnic tables and garbage bins
Do not come here! Drunk homeless people roam the park and puke. Another man was checking parked car door handles. He drove a red dodge Ram pick-up truck. WATCH OUT!
Celebrated a milestone birthday with my great great nephew and extended family and friends! Spacious with paved walk and bike paths, and picnic shelters. Playgrounds available throughout park for children!
The newly installed fitness path makes it even more enjoyable to walk this park. My only complaint would be the state of the bathrooms. It would be nice to have them open regularly and well stocked but the location does lend itself to shady things happening in the restrooms so it's suitable for the area. The park has two different playgrounds and lots of out of the way areas to spread a blanket and spend some time with nature or do some people watching.
It was nice I usually take my granddaughters a little earlier than I did today they had a event going on there . We were the only black people there I myself didn't have a problem with that but some of the kids there wasn't very nice toward the girls and all they wanted to do is play with the other kids and make new friends. But besides that it's a nice park to hangout at and relax.
Great little park with lots of trees. Two shelters that can be reserved. No bathrooms. Also very little parking when there's a Larks game next door. Awesome play structures, the climbing rock, and some horseshoe areas. Tucked away from main traffic trees are close together. perfect for hammocks
Nice place all around. $35 dollars to reserve a spot for 8 am to 3 pm. Close enough to walk to the zoo or amusement park. The birthday party was a big success!
Beautiful park...love the old cottonwoods. Paths along the river as well as walk along zoo. There is an amusement park located within the park. Many play areas for children and the young at heart.
Nice park with an outdoor playground couple of covered picnic areas. There's a small amusement park inside the park and it's also right adjacent to the zoo! Plenty of shade trees to hang out under and lots of room to let the kids run!
The day we went there is was hotter than hell. The animals were hot and lazy. But it was still fun and a good walk. The kids loved feeding the animals and petting the and ponies. We will definitely go again. There was a lot the kids did not get to do the day was just not long enough for us.
