Dr. Kimber Shelton is a licensed psychologist and owner of KLS Counseling & Consulting Services. She provides culturally competent counseling to individuals, couples and groups. She works with identity exploration, relationship issues, stress management, trauma, grief, anxiety and depression concerns. She also provides psychological, career and educational, bariatric, learning disorder and ADHD evaluations.
Dr. Shelton is an experienced presenter with multicultural and diversity expertise. As well as general wellness, she provides culturally competent and diversity-focused training and workshops to businesses, organizations and mental health professionals.
Dr. Shelton is the co-chair of the Texas Psychological Association Diversity-Division, member of the American Psychological Association (APA), APA Minority Fellowship fellow, and served on the APA Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity. She has over 20 publications, including coauthoring the textbook The College and University Counseling Manual. Dr. Shelton is an Expert Diversity Contributor for GoodTherapy.org and has contributed to articles on major media sites including The Huffington Post, MSN and Woman’s Day.
