Great place to shop. Be warned that you may loose phone service while in the store and that WiFi is not available. Escalator heading to the lower level is kaput going up is okay so take the elevator in the rear. Hopefully it will be fixed before Labor Day. Update: Escalator was fixed but broke again and phone signal has improved. WiFi can be picked up from Staples or Whole Foods.

My husband and I went to pick up a couple items tonight and I had to use the bathroom. I go in the bathroom and it's absolutely disgusting. There's dry stool on the toilet seats, no bathroom tissue, grime all over the sink, mirror and floor. There was also a soap dispenser just sitting in the sink. How could ANYONE who works there at this location find that acceptable? I'm sure the employees use the downstairs bathroom because no one wanted to clean or use the upstairs bathroom. The lady at the register was poorly dressed and had a bad attitude. I've worked in customer service my entire working career and I know for a fact that this isn't how you run a business. Thank you for your stale snacks by the way. I can tell by the looks of some juices that food isn't changed out very often. This store USED to be a pleasant experience. If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I've been coming to this location for years because it's very convenient for me but no longer.

Former Kmart is being used by Essex County as a COVID-19 testing and vaccination site FEMA also temporarily using as an assistance location. County has it very efficiently set up, pleasant staff and fast process. Easy to schedule and lots of parking. Great experience. Also has kid-friendly section.

I have never had a bad experience at this location! The staff is always helpful and arou d to ask questions. The store is clean and neat. Great bargains all the time! I am a plus size woman and the clothing in my size are just beautiful and stylish. Unfortunately it is a bit of a drive but worth every mile. I also love the lay away program. Really helps over the holidays! Please stay open!!!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Definition of unprofessional. I doubt all the employee's are as bad as the ones I had the misfortune of dealing with, otherwise the store would be closed from lack of customers. The items purchased were on sale, but rang up as a different price. Instead of fixing the price, or at the very least explaining why they couldn't, they dismissed me completely and the "managers" only response was no, before she even heard the problem. If you do go there I hope you don't run into the same "manager" quotation marks necessary, because she doesn't deserve that title.

Beware if you order an item online for pickup at this store. I ordered olive color pants and they had a beige color at pick up. When I brought that up, customer service said that if they don't have that item you want, they will give you something else. First of all, why would they say they have the item in stock anyway? Not only the store service is horrible, but also their app. Buy elsewhere.

Its a nice department store but it needs better organization of content. Convenient location with ample parking. Assistance is scarce and the cashier lines moves very slow; which is mainly due to limited cashiers on duty at this time of the year

I’m not a giant Kmart fan...I occasionally pop in to see what’s on clearance or if I need something small. The people that work at this one are super nice and helpful! Knocking off a store because this one is sort of popular so it can get messy and be a bit difficult to find things easily.

I was having a nightmare of an evening. I had food on the stove, making chili and couldn’t find my can opener. After feverishly looking for 20 mins I decided to go to Whole Foods and just buy one. Of course when I get there they’re sold out. I had 7 minutes to get to Kmart before it closed, which was 6 minutes away. I run in the door, grab the can opener and the manager refused to ring me up, even though I witnessed her ring up other people! She proceeded to tell me she was the assistant manager who was responsible for closing on Monday 11/12/18, and that she was not willing to ring me up. She asked me who let me in the store, as if I wasn’t a paying customer looking to get ONE item- a can opener and leave! She was so rude and ill-tempered. It was clear she never heard of the phrase good customer service, let alone operated in such a way. The way she acted was uncalled for and i have no doubt that if I was someone she knew she would never have treated me that way. KMART do better with your choice of hires, trainings and employee performance assessment. As local members of the community, we will never be back, and it’s a shame. I would rather drive an additional 20 minutes to give my business to a KMART that values their customers. I left feeling so frustrated and insulted. And for you what?? For trying to pay for one can opener.

Pros: The store has a lot of products; great fishing gear I was shocked to see the selection, containers, etc. They also have a decent toy selection if you need a last minute gift, just keep in mind if you need something like pokemon cards for kids, the selection they have is usually months or years old this can lead to some very disappointed children. Cons: The checkout system is atrocious. I think the checkout computers are from the 90's and use dial up internet, and the staff just seem to be the slowest I've ever seen.
