Susan Kneeland is a fine artist and private instructor of art.
She is proficient in all media and subject matter, and is most renowned for her portraiture, beach scenes, and extensive road series.
She has garnered many awards for her artwork, and has exhibited her work throughout eastern New England, Boston, and Brooklyn, NY. For one year, a collection of Susan’s sketches traveled to galleries and museums across the US, and her sketchbook is archived into the Brooklyn NY Art Library.
As a private instructor, Ms. Kneeland has the reputation of grooming her young students to further their educations in our nation’s top art colleges; and maintains a 100% acceptance rate for all who apply for the past 22 years.
Susan created an art therapy program early in 1993, which she teaches in many nursing homes, reaching out our elderly community with art.
A longtime member of the Newburyport Art Association and The Haverhill Art Association, she is a juried associate member of the American Pastel Society, as well as being an inductee to the National Honor Society.
Currently, she is showing work at the Sargent Gallery in Nbpt., MA, Around the Corner Framing and Gallery, Tremont St., in Boston, MA, The Essex Art Center's New Paint Auction, in Lawrence, MA and at the Buttonwoods Museum, in Haverhill, MA> In addition, Senator Ives, of Massachusetts, has offered to exhibit Susan’s work at The State House in Boston at a date to be announced later this year.
Susan designed an award-winning sculpture that is under construction and will be installed in April, 2017, in Bradford, MA.
