I received several citations seven 7 years ago in Knoxville. Unfortunately, I was sent to prison before I could pay them or appear in court, so the City Court suspended my license. I have tried to send a petition to the court, both from prison and since my release, but the clerk's refuse to let the judge see it, insisting that I appear in court personally. I live in a halfway house 130 miles away, because I have no license, I must walk which would take 42 hours or take a bus which would cost $70, plus miss two days work $140, and would probably need a motel $40. I only make $10 an hour so that simply isn't feasible. Why won't the clerks at least let the judge SEE my petition? Who is in charge--judge or clerks?
Don't mind to pay for the ticket for my expired tags. What is mind blowing is that the court is supposed to start at 9am. It is now 10:00am, the room is full, no judge. I feel the respect from the court.
You must show up at 9. The judge has until around 10 to show up. Judge Roson is beyond fair.
It's Court, all they want is your money
