"Your Pancake mix is the reason that my boyfriend fell in love with me and now we live happily ever after..." -New York
At Kodiak Cakes, our mission is to create incredible tasting products using only 100% whole grains and all natural ingredients.
Frontier Flapjack and Waffle Mix
Launched in 1995, our first product was our Frontier Flapjack and Waffle Mix, which was based on our grandpa’s recipe. It’s an add water only mix that has become the favorite pancake mix of customers all over the United States. One customer wrote, “Your product is the best pancakes I have ever had and I found it quite by accident. My Sunday morning pancake treat is as good as it gets.”
Big Bear Brownies
In 2006, we took on the brownie challenge, which was to make an amazing tasting brownie mix using whole grains and all natural ingredients. We have been told that we succeeded – just after we launched the brownie, a customer called in and said, “That is the best brownie I have ever tasted.” We regularly receive similar comments.
Marionberry, Raspberry, and Mountainberry Syrup
Later in 2006, we launched Kodiak Syrup – all natural pure fruit syrups sweetened with organic crystallized cane juice that taste fresh and homemade. No corn syrup or preservatives. Marionberry, Raspberry and Mountainberry
Bear Country Cookies
In 2009, we took on the cookie challenge, which was to create an amazing tasting cookie mix, again, using whole grains and all natural ingredients. Customers once again let us know we succeeded. One customer wrote, “They are the best cookies we’ve ever had.” We thought they were good too and in September 2009, we opened up a cookie store at the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City called Bear Country Cookies where we sell 12 flavors of fresh cookies, fresh waffles, frozen custard, and all of our mixes and syrups.
The Story of Kodiak Cakes (Book)
In October 2009, Jon Clark, founder of Kodiak Cakes, published a book about our company called The Story of Kodiak Cakes, Ten Lessons for Starting Your Own Business. It’s a fun story about the struggles of starting our company and talks about some of the hard lessons we’ve learned along the way.
