The Kolache, a wildly popular “travel treat” and breakfast staple throughout Central Texas is coming to Salina Utah!
The kolache (pronounced ko-LAH-chee) came to America in the mid-1800s when immigrants from Czechoslovakia and other parts Central Europe settled what is now known by many as the
Czech Belt which covers a broad swath of Central Texas. This pillowy Central European pastry with a sweet filling in the center has been transformed in Texas to include savory rolls stuffed
with sausage, ham, bacon and almost anything else that can be imagined by the many bakers who put their own twist on what has become a wildly popular “travel treat” and breakfast staple throughout Central Texas. The Kolache Korral and Lotsa Motsa Pizza are bringing this yummy taste of Texas to the residents of central Utah. Come Czech us out and like us on facebook!
