Konark Indian Store

Looooovvveeeddd this place! We got the pakoras, chicken kebabs, chicken and mutton biriyani along with aloo tiki. Ram is such an amazing cook! We also ordered the Thalapakatti biriyani takes an hour to make so order ahead. It tasted so authentic! The mutton was so tender and perfectly cooked. It was my birthday so the staff surprised me with a delicious butterscotch cake. We will be back again!

Our me & my wife typical evenings are a hot cup of chai/ coffee and masala vada. I am here 2-3 times a week. Ram is so passionate about his cooking and never lets you leave unsatisfied.

Visited Konark for the first time today. Wow, what a great market. Lots of rice, grain and bean choices...the best we've found in metro Des Moines. So many great healthy options to choose from. A wonderful shopping experience.

Very good selection of Indian groceries and items. The store is very clean and organized. The indoor mini-restaurant is a nice add on with really tasty food. Glad to have this in the Des Moines area. 4 stars since the products don't have prices stuck on them or listed seems strange for a store, no expiry dates printed for refrigerated items, the checkout area is not well laid out and they frown upon re-unusable shopping bags.

Groceries seems to be little overpriced. There’s a small kitchen where Indian styled chats are priced rightly and a good quantity. Watch for the spicy levels there regular is “super spicy” as they add grinded chilies looks like. Enjoy!!

One of the best Indian grocery store in des moines, Iowa. Fresh vegetables are available here on Tuesdays and Fridays. All kinds of Indian vegetables, spices, dals, flours, pickels, snacks, rice varieties, meats, coffee powders and Indian pooja items are available here. You can get frozen vegetables, Coconuts, amla and parotta. They have delicious and hot samosasometimes you get buffs. Fantastic biryani is available at the small restaurant inside and some chat dishes are also available. You can get falooda and mango Lassi there. We use to go there once every two weeks.

Lots to choose from. Clean and well arranged store. Love the restaurant in the store. Food is so good especially the biriyani. Great customer service.

Clean store with large selection, probably the most in Des Moines. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some items don't have prices listed. Sometimes the price you pay is higher than the price listed.

SPICES! Spices 1/3 of the price I would normally get on Amazon. $6 vs $15 ...
