Krain Corner is an authentic, historical, country breakfast experience! The place feels like you are walking into grandma's for some eggs and love. The fresh jam, especially the strawberry was seriously the best I've ever had. Krain gets busy, but I was impressed how well they handled such big crowds. I recommend Krain to anyone who enjoys a real experience and not some pushy chain with flavorless everything.
Coming back to Karin Corner after several years was a welcome treat. Service was friendly and timely; hardly any wait from the time we sat down until we ordered and our food was delivered. The food was as remembered, tasty and plentiful…I was even able to substitute another item for my breakfast potatoes without an extra fee! The decor is somewhat historical related to the area. It was great to visit this restaurant once again and enjoy the food and service I enjoyed during previous visits! Recommend you try their biscuits and gravy; it doesn’t disappoint!!
Went in cuz needed some eggs Benedict in my life and have never been there, absolutely did not disappoint. The restaurant was decorated really neat, I'll have to go back to look at more of the decor and read more about the history cuz I love that kind of thing and they have a lot of cool old pictures and articles to read. Unfortunately didn't try the desserts this time cuz i was pretty full, although I did look at the ones in the case and they looked phenomenal. Definitely gonna have to go back and have lunch and dessert next time!! Kid-friendliness: It was definitely a family friendly restaurant, plenty of room for big families and options on the menu for kids Parking: Had plenty of room, although that's never really an issue for me on my scooter!!
After a hike at Mt. Rainier NP, what a great place to come and enjoy. My wife and I both really loved our food. For me it was a Viva Zapata Omellet and for her a Krain Burger. And for me they subbed sauteed veggies for the hash browns, which I really appreciate. Salt and pepper shakers of interesting varied designs festoon the high shelf. Our waitress was very pleasant. And it is very reasonable, with coffee still at $3.00. Thank you, Krain Corner!!!!
Came in mid morning for breakfast with some friends. We're able to get a table right away. Place was busy but not packed. Looked like they only had a few staff in the front of the house, buy they were awesome. Very attentive and friendly. Food came out surprisingly quick and was great. Will definitely put this place on the rotation for breakfast. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly menu Parking: Ample parking
Omelette was delicious as were the hash browns which had great texture to them. The biscuits were light and fluffy while I would have preferred a bit more sausage or bacon flavor to the gravy for my personal tastes. Pie was also great and I'll definitely visit again when in the area. Staff were all friendly and service was great.Food: 4/5
Busy on Saturday. Just after 1 and still full house. Ordered a beef dip and eggs Benedict. 40 minutes later it was served. By this time the rush was gone. Not sure if the server was late in turning in ticket but man it shouldn't have taken that long. Many seated after us were served and paid their bill. Food was okay. Eggs were under cooked. I know the yolk in a Benedict should be runny but not the whites. Hollandaise was a little thick. Would I go back, probably not.
The food gives it a full five stars. Amazing! I had the prime rib benedict and friend had the skillet with biscuits and gravy. The portions were very generous and the taste was awesome! We had breakfast at 10:30 and didn’t have to eat again for the rest of the day. Highly recommend but don’t be in a rush as they were busy and understandably a little bit slower. The building itself is 120 years old and has some historical points of interest inside.
I'd ordered a cinnamon roll, heard they were good. But I was disappointed cause it was to hard to eat ,the bottom of cinnamon roll was over cooked to where the bottom was hard. I chose to cut the bottom off and eat just the soft parts. Maybe half was eatable. My group of about 12-15 eat there about twice a month.Food: 2/5
First time at Krain Corner, it was very busy so we did end up waiting 45 minutes for our food. While we waited we played the trivial pursuit game they had on the table and looked at all the awesome memorabilia they have. The food was very good and worth the wait. I got the Viva Zapata omelette which was very flavorful and delicious. Besides the long wait for our food we enjoyed Krain Corner and will visit again. Kid-friendliness: Crayons and word puzzles, great kids menh Parking: Plenty of parking
