If I could give a negative review for Athens Kroger- I would. Multiple times my family’s prescriptions have been called in and we have been given a specific time to pick up and when we get there - we have been told it’s not ready or they don’t have it in stock. We have to make special trips in town to pick up our medications and almost every time have either had to come back a different day to pick it up or wait 2 hours until it was ready. What’s even worse is the customer service is DISGUSTING. Miss Alexandra working the drive through window has a huge chip on her shoulder and doesn’t seem to know how to do her job. She tried to charge me $73 for a $20 script and acted like I was the one who didn’t know what I was talking about. I can understand short staffing and long wait times but I can NOT understand poor attitudes toward customers. I’ve worked at Kroger pharmacy before and would never speak to customers the way my family and I get spoken to at this pharmacy.
The slowest pharmacy. Absolutely everytime you pick up a prescription you are waiting in line 45mins-1hr. Also, if you have multiple prescriptions don't expect them to be filled together. You will most definitely have to pick them up on separate days.
Constantly rude and unkind on the phone. Impatient. I'm not sure why Evan hates his job and people so much, but it is pretty obvious he does. I'm not sure why his manager and Kroger tolerates this attitude. Just trying to get help and information for little kids meds. Not a one time occurrence. Kroger needs to own this situation.
The woman on the phone told me I would need to call in and tell them I wanted to pick up my medicine. Thought this was a little odd but I did it anyway, called on Monday to inform them I did want my medicine to be filled this month and she then told me I would need to call back on Tuesday. I then called again Tuesday and a man answered this time, I told him I would like my medicine to be filled and I was instructed to call. He acted very put off, as if I was baggering them, I informed him I was told to call by the woman yesterday. Anyways very confusing and very poor costomer service. I don't recommend this pharmacy to anyone
The worst pharmacy in Athens. I will never return. They have messed up my prescriptions 3 times. And today I called on advanced and they said it would be ready in 5 minutes so I drove there, waited in line for 15 minutes and then was told it wasn’t ready and would be 15-20 more minutes. This also happened to 3 other people in front of me. They are the slowest people on this planet. But also they have messed up my prescriptions multiple other times. It’s ridiculous!
I have been to the Kroger in Nelsonville for my covid vaccine and the pharmacist there was amazing. I didn't even realize she had given me the shot. She was thorough in her directions and answered all my questions. I usually go to Athens and was there for a prescription refill because that's where I live but they had no openings. Athens is always very nice and very thoughtful. I have never had any problems.
Countless times they've gotten my refill date wrong, filled things either too early or late, spoken to me very rudely, and refused to acknowledge a physician's prior authorization. The pharmacists are both incompetent and inconceivably arrogant as they repeatedly attempt to supersede a doctor's authority.
Talked to them at 2:00 today and was told I could pick up my prescription after 4:00pm. Went at 6:30 and was told they didn’t have the meds and to come back tomorrow. No call to tell me it wasn’t available. What a waste of time. Transferring my prescriptions to Shrivers.
I’m a college student who transfers medicine back and forth between Athens and home. Ive been to Athens Kroger twice and they still can’t properly transfer a script. Here for the third time and someone finally does it properly!! Very disappointed because my Kroger pharmacy at home is not like this at all.
They usually do a pretty good job. I was very disappointed in the service I received today. I may go to CVS for future prescriptions.
