Beautiful, unique park. Our family stopped here on our way through to SD. We enjoyed exploring the ruins and structures and walking up to the waterfall. The bathrooms are basic but they were clean. The pavilion and playground both looked nice, too. Highly recommend for spending a few hours or for a quick stop.
Beautiful park, definitely worth visiting! Excellent place to take pictures, to go fishing with the kids, to get some hiking or biking in, to drive around and relax, or to have a picnic. The castle is super cool, driving underneath it was an awesome surprise! The steps are not super steep, so its a good place to walk around if you have bad knees.
It's a family tradition to visit, especially during, Christmas! These pictures are from 2021. I highly recommend visiting this during any season! It's a great historic park!
One of the most beautiful parks I've ever been to. Huge and varied, with history going back to the 1920’s. It has seen better days, and the children's playground equipment has been taken down probably because it was 30 feet tall in some places, and completely made out of rusting metal which is a shame because when I was a kid, it was the most fun someone could have in a playground. Despite that it's still an almost ethereal experience, and you can see the past in its bones. Hopefully this park will continue to be here for generations to come.
Very nice park to have birthday parties or baby showers at in nice weather. There was a Goose near the waterfall April 24th, 2022 with fishing line and hook around it's neck. I got 3 feet away, took a picture and he took off. Called conservation dept to help.
loved the Christmas drive thru lights! it's was organized properly and clean and just a fun overall time with my family. Offered free candy to kiddos, and cash only payment to get fresh hot food!
Beautiful park, nice picnic shelter. My only complaint was the bathrooms were dirty and didn't have no toilet paper.
So cool, we're new in town and this is our first Christmas here. What a treat this was when we found it. We're totally supportive in everything St Joseph, has to offer to the public. And the very nice friendly Beautiful souls passing out the free Cherry Mash.
Love this park ...now a Christmastime favorite!!!
They have a free holiday light drive thru park but donations are welcome. It was delightful
