My family and I recently lost our father and held his funeral at Kuhn Funeral Home in West Reading. The Kuhn staff took care of every detail and kept us informed every step of the way. The funeral Director, Samantha, was extraordinary and went out of her way to make a last minute arrangement for us, and even personally worked on a slideshow of our father’s life over a weekend to ensure it would be ready for the Monday viewing. I felt the entire Kuhn staff went out of their way to make sure we didn’t have to worry or think about anything but honoring our father’s memory. I highly recommend them and sincerely thank them for making this very sad time for us a very comforting experience.
Kuhn Funeral Home in West Reading handled the funeral arrangements for both of my parents. Both funerals were pre-planned many years prior, which helped the family with decisions in the midst of difficult times. Michael Kuhn was warm, caring, compassionate, and very friendly when he met with us to finalize details. We were treated as though we were the only family that he was serving at the time. The entire staff at Kuhn was professional in every way, and patiently worked with us until every detail of the service was exactly what we wanted. On the day of the funeral, the staff efficiently handled every aspect of the day. We had no concerns and were able to focus on our loss. Staff members reached out to us, following the funeral, to offer resources and follow-up care, as we worked through the grieving process. Overall, our family was extremely pleased and satisfied with the services provided by Kuhn Funeral Home.
The staff at Kuhn Funeral Home are absolutely wonderful. My father passed away very unexpectedly and left our family devastated and unsure of where to even begin. Kuhn helped us through every step of the process. We worked specifically with Samantha, who I cannot say enough wonderful things about- she is attentive, patient, kind, and transparent. Any questions we had were answered immediately. We were provided with help from Kuhn not just during the preparations, but afterwards, as well. No one wants to think about burying their loved one or about choosing a funeral home, but if you are in a position where you need to make a decision, the staff at Kuhn will absolutely be there for you and help you in every way they can. I highly recommend them and am so grateful for the support they have provided to our family during this very difficult time.
I convinced my parents to preplan years ago with Kuhn Funeral Home because they have been our dedicated funeral home for our families in the past. Everything was perfect. I cannot emphasize enough that the people at Kuhn Funeral Home went above and beyond to make our family feel comforted and taken care of as we laid my mother to rest. As our family moved through the process of celebrating my mother's life while also mourning her death we had the good fortune to meet Samantha from Kuhn's Funeral Home. She was comforting, capable and always working to help us celebrate my mother's life our family's way. In a dark time, she made the days seem brighter and allowed us to truly celebrate my mother.
Kuhn funeral home was so kind and compassionate to our family they gave us as long as we needed to be with Jerry and they were just so very kind And when they picked his body up at our home they let us all say our private goodbye to Jerry Thank you so much for your help during our tragic time.
We had Deb or Debby as our funeral director for the sudden loss of our 16 year old son, and she was amazing beyond expected! She was extremely compassionate, thoughtful, sweet, efficient and know how to use humor as a way to alleviate our pain. We were referred to her by a friend whose mom passed away 2 weeks ago. Kuhn was also there to help out throughout the funeral process along side with Deb. They are both great people. We have nothing to say but good words Our son has now rest in peace knowing that he got the support he deserved.
From the moment we arrived to begin making funeral arrangements for my brother, Samantha showed us kindness and caring rarely seen anymore. While it has been an extremely sad and difficult time for my family, the Kuhn Funeral Home staff, helped us every step of the way. There were so many details we were unaware of, but again, Samantha and staff took care of all details no matter how small they seemed. If it was important to us- it was important to them. We have been encouraged, even after the funeral, to reach out if we have any questions or concerns.
Mike Kuhn and the Kuhn Funeral Home staff were remarkable during the extremely difficult and challenging time of my father’s passing. They handled everything efficiently and with compassion. My review would be too long if I would were to write all the praises I have for Kuhn Funeral Home. Their services were professional, efficient, knowledgeable and heartfelt. Where do you find a funeral director who gives you a hug when you walk into the viewing of your loved one for the first time? If you have ever lost someone close to you, you know that the most important thing to help you survive is hugs because there are no words. Samantha and Mike deserve many thanks for helping my family navigate through a very sorrowful time. I would highly recommend Kuhn Funeral Home to anyone in need of their services.
