If I could give it a negative 5 stars on the rooms I would. This place is completely horrible, nasty and disgusting! We first stayed there in July 2023. When we checked into our rooms, there were blood stains on the sheets and mattresses. They had to relocate us to another room at 4:30 in the morning. There were five of us, and they only had a room with one bed. They gave us a comped room which we gave them another chance. We checked in the weekend of October 7, 2023. When we arrived at the hotel, and tried to check in. They did not have any reservations for us. After 45 minutes, they was able to give us a two bed instead of a king suite as promised. When we checked into our room, it was filthy, smelt like urine, and there were multiple stains on the mattress, showing through the mattress, cover and sheets. There were hair underneath the sheets and some type of Of black bugs or foreign subjects under the other bed. The headboard covers are awful and dirty. We did not even sleep in the room. We drove 2 1/2 hours there and 2 1/2 hours home. It was actually leave the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. And I travel for a living. The entire hotel smells musty and moldy. The inside of the hotel is a complete disaster and dirty. The one good thing I can definitely say is the staff and management are great and very understanding. They said that they would give us some more comp rooms, but I would not give these comp rooms To anyone! Please do yourself a favor and never ever stay at this hotel Rooms: Nasty, filthy and gross!!!!!! Do not stay the night at this hotel!!!
The coffee is amazing! I think it's PJs coffee out of NOLA. The gaming is fun! Not sure if the payouts are as good as they used to be. There was a time I could bring a 1000 and leave with 3000. Nowadays not so much. Maybe just my choice of machines so take it as you like. Either way great casino / hotel with friendly staff and always something g fun to do!
Check in- met with nothing but attitude. Heavy sighs to simple questions. Very weird reaction to the question if there were fridges/microwaves. Bellman was very helpful & friendly which is why service got the one star. Room- visible wear & tear. Fresh stains on the sheets in one bed. The other bed a cornucopia of freshly cut toenails. Under the sheets. So I pull the sheet back and a pile of toenails just fall out. Was only able to get a shot of one of the clipped toenails that remained on the bed as the rest fell to my feet.I slept in my clothes under my airport blanket. The shower was atleast hot as hells fire so I was pleased about that.
Havnt been back since covid shutdown. All I can say is that the lack of customer service from the staff was piss poor. Very rude floor staff in casino. Waited in line to set up my player card. I finally get to a person and they said they didn't have time to set me up and it was their break time. So I had to go back at the end of line. People checking I'd at the entry were very rude and let everyone else in while they look over my ID 20x before they let me in. I had a few games freeze on me on camera and "any malfunction is void and I was asked to delete my video. Half way on our stay. We decided to go to Golden nugget and we were treated way better and had more fun. This trip really let me down with all around experience. Used to be my fav place to relax and gamble. Will not return untill they step their game up. Save yall money and go to the nugget. Really disappointed. Also had no hot water in showers. Will not return untill management reaches out to us
Enjoyed our visit. Our room was fine but they were deep cleaning the rooms around us with bleach that seeped through. Bad enough to make your eyes tear. The Service was excellent from check=in to check-out. Food & drinks: Our favorite is the Sports Bar for Catfish po-boys or burgers. Go to the back of the bar for table seating. Food was delicious and the servers were attentive. For breakfast, Johnny Sanchez. Ordered the eggs with bacon, potatoes, biscuit and the cinnamon roll with coffee. Excellent food and service. Everything was hot, cooked as ordered and served promptly. We have also ate at the Market which is good for a deli type meal.
Greatly enjoyed our stay! Everything was great experience and a surprise to us. I was booked at this location for a week long business meeting and didn’t do any research before arriving… Well, it was a great week for the wife and I. The hot tubs, pools and lazy river are awesome and made a great place to end a long day. The restaurants were awesome and the casino staff came around bringing drinks constantly. They are remodeling but that didn’t bother us. Great place to relax.
Beautiful exterior and grounds. Cute touch to have a sandy beach on the lake. Plenty of room in the casino. Really good restaurants in house. You may notice I rated the room very low. Check your bed linens on arrival do not wat until bed time. So disgusting and stained. Rooms: See attached photos. Just a side note the night house keeper did arrive within 30 min to replace the horribly stained base sheet. Food & drinks: Drinks are gratis if actively playing. Please remember to tip your service person.
I love losing my life savings here. I get to spend my money and lose it tax free! I prefer these slots to the ones at Golden Nugget, but the tables are about the same. I got a comped meal and I have to say, it was a delicious meal. All the bouncers and pit bosses in the casino are nice, but be weary of the waitresses in some of the restaurants. Food & drinks: Johnny Sanchezs? had a delicioso meal. The waffle was INCREDIBLE. To die for, even. In fact, it clogged my arteries not literally but the chicken was not good. Not saying it was bad, but definitely did not care to eat it. In fact, I left 3 out of my 3 chicken tenders. And the waitress was poor. I mean just innatentive. I spilled some coffee and she never gave me napkins to clean it, she didn't bring my coke out, and she didn't bring us more butter for my waffle after I asked. In fact, she brought out the check 10 minutes before I had to ask her for boxes. I'm still gunna throw the chicken out, but you know, being polite and not leaving the chicken here. 4/10 experience would DEFINITELY come again because my experience in here is the embodiment of my luck this time around to L'auberge.
I have stayed here several times for conferences - meaning I've always paid for my room and was in the first tower. So rooms were nice, I suppose. This weekend was my first comped stay and I was put in the garden tower. My room was so moldy and mildew smelling that I left after one night, rather than the 3 nights I was scheduled for. All of my possessions smell of mildew and have to be cleaned. Even possessions that I never took out of my suitcase. I literally could not stay. This hotel must make a fortune at the casino. I don't see how the rooms could be so run down and gross. Lights in the hallway blinking on and off. The shower dripped. The headboard was peeling and worn out. I am supposed to return in November for a conference and I am considering not going. I ate at Johnny Sanchez and it was great. The front desk staff were very understanding of my departure.
I played slots for almost an hour before seeing the first waitress; I was served only four drinks all night. The center bar has been removed and replaced with more tables and slots. This was the primary draw for us and where we'd go for great music and to buy drinks when we couldn't find service staff. They've added a small electronic poker bar to the side, but there's no ambiance. We wanted to take the bus to Golden Nugget, but they no longer offer that service. We ended up in bed by midnight...at a casino! It's that bad. The rooms are incredibly dated, especially at $240 for a Sunday night. The pleather on our headboard was peeling and ended up on our pillows and in our hair. Their attempt to conceal it with a poorly-fitted cotton cover see photos shows their lack of attention and care for customer satisfaction. The walls are so thin, we could tell you every minor detail of our neighbor's family drama. The only positive experience was the Asian restaurant. Food was delicious, wait staff quick and attentive. We won't return.
