The L3 Summit is a gathering of emerging student leaders from colleges and universities across the state of Georgia that focuses on building the leadership skills necessary to leave a purposeful legacy. The 2017 L3 Summit will be held in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains at North Georgia College & State University campus in Dahlonega, Georgia, on May 22 – 25, 2017.
The student delegates are handpicked from their respective state institutions as the promising leaders in their respective schools. Through interactive discussions and activities, the student delegates are directed through a custom-made curriculum for emerging student leaders. The delegates are housed in the North Georgia Suites and activities are held throughout the campus hosted by a dedicated staff of educators from different colleges and universities within the University System of Georgia.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from one another about leadership, as well as gain practical skills that can be put to use immediately. Students attending this conference will challenge each other to expand their thinking, investigate the diversity of leadership among them, and set high standards for leadership on their campuses.
Provide emerging leaders the resources to become competent, proactive individuals who influence positive action and direction on their campuses using Blanchard’s theory of leadership and Kolb’s learning cycle.
