Description

Artisan Bakery, Crêperie & Café

"““La Boulangerie” means the bread bakery in French.Chef Francois Danielo bakes the bread and the pastries and Chef Nadia DeJesus cooks the soups and the dishes, and prepares the sandwiches and the salads. The philosophy at La Boulangerie is to bake and cook small batches by our own team using high quality ingredients. We do not use preservatives or chemicals. Some of our breads use organic flours. We take our time to bake and cook our products; we do not cut corners. Our breads are given the perfect amount of time to proof, with some breads rising for 12 hours. Each bread has its own recipe and preferment. We bake our own croissants and pastries and cook our stocks from scratch. We pay great attention to detail."

Incredible. The croissants were delicious - fresh and buttery. I'm still thinking of the brioche buns. The lattes were perfectly made. Customer service is excellent - lightning fast and yet attentive. The seating area is clean and neat. They have an array of delicious looking pastries. I'd love to go back.
Great little French bakery. The pastries were all on point the baguette was good but could have been cooked a bit more.
Sidewalk width clearance less than mandatory 8ft and height of outdoor umbrellas way too low whenever it’s sunny. Totally unacceptable. I almost got my eyes poked out few times trying to walk through. Mentioned this to staff several times and STILL the same sidewalk violations occur. Business owners shows lack of care to local residents and rather endanger their health to the benefit of his money making business. Shameful irresponsible illegal unethical business practice! I don’t care how good the food tastes if the owner shows such lack of regard for public safety and city regulation, boycott this establishment if youre local and care about community civicness. Support public safety/health and rule of law. Please Boycott until this establishment abides by local municipal laws and regulations in place for benefit of the public!!! The public has a right to walk safely through public sidewalks without hazardous obstacles!! Will be making complaints to DOT and city councilwoman of Forest Hills, and whichever other city state federal regulators with oversight jurisdiction over this establishment. The owner had adequate notice and could have easily fixed the issue but replacing umbrellas that have taller stems and or clearing adequate sidewalk space. The fact that such simple remedy was not employed proves gross lack of care and disregard for the law and safety of the public. See pic. Lack of adequate walk space on sidewalk and this lady was able to clear umbrella only bc she’s under 5’8 tall
Great spot for coffee and desserts in Forest Hills! Love the vibe and atmosphere because it’s like you’re in France all of a sudden. My latte came out perfectly and the pastries were excellent!! I have to go back and try the other pastries. Not only is it pretty but it’s really delicious and of high quality. Highly recommend this place.
This place has such a high quality of food. Their baguette/traditions are the best I’ve found in New York. Everything is made with such attention to quality which is rare to find these days. I only rated 3 stars because: The only drawback are the counter staff who don’t seem very interested in the customers and treat them with disdain. This is unacceptable especially because of the prices. I go through long periods of not going to the Boulangerie because of the rude and indifferent staff. I wish they would do better.
A really good place to enjoy a brief breakfast or brunch. I would suggest getting there early because seating outside is limited and they get full up pretty quick. The benefit at lest when I went, People didn't linger at the outside tables. I will definitely go back! I like going here early Saturday morning or early Sunday morning, it doesn't get as crowded. Oh I didn't mention. The food is great!
We recently visited this charming this French bakery and was blown away by the overall experience. From the heavenly almond croissant to the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions, every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors. The crepe chocolate was a decadent treat, and the sesame baguette showcased the bakery's expertise. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Shanon she was a cashier but super friendly. Her warm welcome and attention to detail added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. This bakery is a hidden gem that offers delectable treats and top-notch service. Highly recommended!
I love this place in Forest Hills. They call it, “A little corner of France in Forest Hills.”They have the most delicious creamy hot chocolate, which is the main reason I come here. It is such a treat. It is behind the Catholic church I go to on Sundays. They have other beverages of course, and they do have breads, other pastries, and cake. A chef bakes these, and another chef prepares the soups, salads, sandwiches, and other food they serve. They just make small batches of their stuff, and mostly use organic ingredients, which explains the pricing. They arent on the cheaper side of the spectrum. This is a small place, with one medium-sized communal table and few small tables indoor, but in the warmer days, they do have several tables outdoors. It is situated on the quieter part of Austin St and behind a church, so one can enjoy the goodies this place offers without people frequently looking in on you while you eat or cars honking or passing by every so often. It is quite a find. Come by and enjoy some French over here. I highly recommend!
Perfect place for French bakery - their croissant, coffee/lattes, and other goodies are always on point. My wife and I've been coming here for the last ten years and never had bad food. It tends to get very crowded on weekends and holidays, which is expected given their food quality. The only criticism I have is finding parking on weekends which can become very annoying. Other than that everything is good about this place.
Great spot for dessert, coffee and lunch! They have 4-5 outdoor seatings for you & your pets to stop by for a tea time. Beef Bourguignon is my favorite! Also,Pear tart, fruit tart are so good! I always grab those baked goods to go like croissants and baguette! The only thing I don’t give 5 stars is because I love their baguette so much, but sometimes the quality is not consistent.
