Tried La Cabana tonight. Folks are friendly, attentive, and food prepared quickly. I had no complaints. Restaurant is quiet with not much fanfare but is clean and pleasant.
I’m a Latino visiting here from Canada, and this place was great! Staff was very friendly and welcoming, food was most definitely bang for the buck, place was very clean, and people of all cultures came here so that’s how you know it’s good. On top of that, the spicy sauce is actually spicy. 10/10!
Food was very subpar ordered. The rancho plate looked like a can of tomatoes was dumped on the steak, and the steak was overcooked and dry. Plates came out all separate, so some of the group was done before some Even got their plates. Margaritas were gross. They were made of wine and asked for an extra shot, not knowing it was wine. You would think they would tell you after they brought 2 in a row, not tasting right.
The food was hot, flavorful, and good. It came pretty fast which is a plus especially if you work downtown on a time schedule. The waitress's are friendly and tenitive.Food: 4/5
I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Cabana Mexican Restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The restaurant's commitment to providing excellent service and serving up authentic Mexican dishes is truly commendable. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Carnitas Plate. It was a heavenly masterpiece of tender, succulent pork that practically melted in my mouth. The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, with a delightful crispy exterior that added a lovely texture. The portion size was generous, ensuring that every bite was a satisfying explosion of flavor. Accompanied by traditional sides such as rice, beans, and freshly made tortillas, the Carnitas Plate at La Cabana is an absolute must-try for any Mexican food enthusiast. What truly sets La Cabana apart is their commitment to home-style cooking. The flavors of their dishes reflect the authentic recipes passed down through generations, and it's evident that the chefs take pride in preparing each dish with love and care. The attention to detail shines through in every bite, making the dining experience truly memorable. The menu at La Cabana offers a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes, ranging from enchiladas and tacos to tamales and chiles rellenos. Each item on the menu is prepared with the freshest ingredients, and the vibrant flavors are a testament to the restaurant's dedication to quality. Whether you're a fan of hearty meat dishes or prefer vegetarian options, La Cabana has something to satisfy every palate. In addition to the delicious food, the service at La Cabana was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions, further enhancing the overall dining experience. The atmosphere at La Cabana is warm and inviting, with a charming decor that reflects the vibrant culture of Mexico. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable setting to enjoy a meal with family and friends. Overall, La Cabana Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its excellent Carnitas Plate and dedication to home-style cooking. If you're in search of authentic Mexican cuisine that will transport your taste buds south of the border, look no further than La Cabana. I highly recommend paying them a visit for a truly satisfying dining experience.
I loved it this is a family-owned business. They have taken safety precautions in every way possible with the covid pandemic. The food is always good so there is really nothing new to report there it's just a good healthy Family Fresh Mexican food restaurant. And the only thing to update about that is that they have taken all necessary precautions. The servers take all necessary precautions and are very safe with your food. Preparation is very careful with your food and it is down to limited people exposure basically. So you know you're getting a clean plate of healthy food. And in today's day and age that's a real iffy thing to get UPDATE: AS covid restrictions relax, this restaurant continues to take all necessary precautions to keep your food very safe and to keep exposure to people to a limited number. I applaud all actions this restaurant is taking to keep our community safe.
Not fancy, but good and convenient. We enjoyed tacos and a taco salad. The wine-- not quite like the Bay Area, but I know I wasn't in wine country. I recommend this Mexican place. :
Wow. Some of the best Mexican I have had in a while. The beans and rice were surprisingly delicious as well. Chips and salsa are fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
I checked reviews first and decided to visit based on that and photos; the food looked good. In reality, it was meh. I've never seen guac without tomatoes and onions - and I'm from Texas! Despite that, it was actually good - the best part of my meal though. And it came with my meal, not as soon as I ordered it so I could enjoy with chips b4 my meal arrived. Service was ok. The carne asada tacos are what I ordered and they needed more seasoning. The rice was bland. And the salsa was bland too. I was disappointed.
I came here expecting okay, run of the mill stuff. Boy was I wrong. This was amazing food. The salsa was tasty, the beef enchiladas were fantastic! The red sauce was so full of flavor and the meat was certainly not an afterthought. There where even peppers in the meat! And the tamales! This has really ruined me on my local Mexican spots, you all in Redding are lucky.
