I’ve really enjoyed each experience we have had here. They do a great job with any meat dish. I always get the beet salad. The empanadas and any version of cheesy bread is fantastic! The Ambiance is definitely a bit rustic but that’s part of the charm. Today my wife tried the soursop drink which was very unique and tasty. This is a great change of pace from all the Mexican fare in SoCal. Looking forward to my next meal there.
We are from Colombia and this food definitely has a truly Colombian flavor. Everything was delicious and also as you can see, the plates looks amazing thank you La colombiana Por cocinar tan delicioso algo de nuestra cultura aquí en California
The food was great with rating of a 4. The 3 star rating is when it come to vegan option the restaurant is limited a few options. The 3 house made sauces were very good with lots of flavor a 4.The service was great a 5. The prices for the food items was average 4. I would go back if I am in the area again..
Extremely tasty food and friendly service. I had the empanadas, the Sobrebarriga, the chocolate flan, and loved all of it. I recommend this place and will be going back. This place is family run and the staff is great, but when the abuela grandma is around she really makes you feel at home. For me it brought back memories as a child visiting our next door neighbors who were also Colombian.
I love this place!!!!! The staff here always makes you feel welcome. We generally like to sit outside in their patio under the heaters. Our server Natasha is absolutely a joy and always gives us excellent service, great recommendations and makes us laugh! It’s always nice to see familiar faces! We ordered the beet salad which is so good! I’m not typically a fan of beets but they taste like they have been marinating in lime juice for a week. So fresh and delicious. We ordered the vegetarian and meat empanadas! They are a must ordered when coming here. There are delicious and I drool over the dipping sauce that it comes with. So good. Natasha recommended the shrimp scampi and what a great recommendation! It was super juicy and had an amazing flavor that made me finish ever last drop of the broth that the shrimp were sitting in.. lol yep it was that good. We came on a Tuesday and they just started serving tacos!!! My mom ordered the carnitas and steak tacos and she loved them. They were light and filling. They only serve tacos on Tuesday and during happy hour. We also ordered the cheese quesadilla which is also a new addition to the menu and the only item that has a tortilla~Colombians don’t do tortillas ::- the quesadilla had bbq sauce in it!? So good!!! It was HUGE! Like seriously a big quesadilla we had to take some Home! we ordered a delicious Belgian farmhouse ale by tank 7 by boulevard brewery. They have a great selection of beers on draft and also have Pabst on draft. We appreciate the everything about this place from the delicious food, warm staff, great service and authentic ambiance. This place has become a staple restaurant for me and my family. Thank you so much La Colombiana :~
This place is a gem. Nice local eatery that appears family run. Great place to watch soccer and try some Colombian food. We were greeted by Natasha, who is such a doll. Food was excellent. Patacones and Maduras were so good. I will definitely be back when I am in San Clemente. Btw Google will take you in the back alley but front door and parking is on main street.
This place is like a hidden treasure. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but I’m telling you GO GO GO. The food DELICIOUS. May very well have had the best ceviche I’ve ever had. They have a GREAT happy hour menu. There is some limited patio seating, small bar, and inside tables. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. It is a family owned business and you can tell they are very proud of their restaurant and work hard to make your experience great. Short walk from the ocean so it was a great spot for a date night.
This is one of my all time favorite hole in the wall places to eat. As someone who HATES bananas, I'm obsessed with their plantains. I DREAM about their plantains when I am away. Their pollo asado is so flavorful, but don't forget their salsas! The green onion salsa is so amazing, my bf and I ate the whole thing. The dressing they put on their salad is light and delicious! My bf got the sobrebarriga with the arepa The beef and chicken were both fresh and tender. Service was super friendly, our waiter was in an infectiously happy mood. Every time I leave I can't wait to go back.
We had our last dinner while in San Clemente here and OMG it was delicious! Everything was on point! I wish we didn't wait until our last day to try them out. We will most definitely be coming back!
One of those hole-in-the-wall kind of places where food is unexpectedly great. The balance of all the ingredients total more than the sum of the equal parts. Just savory. Our server, Tara, took time to figure out what would fit our taste the best, patiently described each one from the menu and made her recommendations on what would be good for us as this was our first time. We settled on the Plantain Basket for appetizers and Sobrebarrigas for the main course. After partaking in what was served us, I was sure this won't be the last time. Buena comida, volveremos por mas!!
