The self help is basically useless. They just direct you the self help website. And when you do turn in the forms from the self help site. They get rejected BECAUSE self help won't help you fill them out. Been going back and forth for 5 years now. Yes five years. The family court liberal clerk with purple hair hate you the moment you walk in. The sheer incompetence of these people is unbelievable. And multiple times when calling and waiting over an hour it just hang up. This courthouse is pathetic. Zero or negative stars if possible. Tax payer money down the drain

This is a nice courthouse with so far nice employees. I just wanted to warn people that the drink vending machine will take your money and not give you anything. I tried to purchase a bottle of water from the machine thinking it would save me time, but ended up having to spend additional time and money to purchase water at the snack bar. The employee at the snack bar said I was the third one today that got ripped off from the vending machine, and that the court employees know about it. Even though it's just $1.50, it bothers me that so many people are getting ripped off and no one who works here bothers to put up a sign to warn us.

I went in today for a bench warrant 2nd floor department 3 and the prosecutor that was in there today LIED to the judge and to me stating that he checked with the dmv and I had NO DRIVERS LICENSE which was FALSE. I felt that I couldn’t talk to him and asked the the public defender to help and represent me. He checked with the dmv that same moment if my drivers license was valid and it was indeed VALID. The judge looked very confused as of to why the prosecutor  was saying my drivers license wasn’t valid and why the defender was stating it was. He then proceeded to ask the lady behind the computer next to him if my license was valid and she too stated my license was VALID. The prosecutor is a liar and he needs to be removed or placed on close watch because he was not being honest with the whole situation. He wanted to put me in jail which was completely unnecessary. Date: June 29, 2023. It frustrates me to think how many other people he has done this to and how many innocent peoples lives has he made complicated. Today was FULL of injustice from the prosecutor.

Talked to one of their staff members to be excused from jury duty due to severe medical reasons and the guy gives me an attitude, “is it forever!? Is it permanent!? You’re not gonna be excused you’re getting postponed “ like okay man watch the attitude you work at a courthouse you’re not some hotshot. What a joke this place is the whole Torrance courthouse always has been a joke.

Clerk's office staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to obtain the paperwork I needed so I didn't have to do a return trip. Now that's what government customer service should be. Also the front door officers were friendly and courteous.  But if you can avoid having to go there in the 1st place, I'd highly recommend that 1st.

Department TR 11 460. Judge Bosley They let us in at 8:30. We sat and sat waiting for the judge. Neither the bailiff nor the clerk inform us how long the wait. It’s now going on 2 hours waiting for this court to start. Tax payers money going down the drain.

This is for the phone appt line. I spoke to Alecia . She took her time did not rush me and advised me to the best she could. She knew i needed to put her on hold bc i was at work and did not want my business out there and she was patient and kind and thorough. Thank you Alecia. Follow Up. I later spoke to Erika in the Self Help center who answered the Phone. She heard my situation and validated me and gave me step by step support. She did not rush me or make me feel like I was a burden. Instead she helped me navigate this whole situation I am in and also provided me with Detail instructions on next steps. Thank you Both for your kindness and generosity and help.

Staff was friendly. Reported to jury duty, go to courthouse and jury assembly room is in the back.  Court could be more efficient.

I filed a child custody case to get joint custody of my 8yr old son, it took me a year to go thru all the required steps. I finally went before a Black woman judge by the name of judge Bosley. She was bias racist and unprofessional.. She never read my declaration, also it was an online parenting class that both parents was supposed to complete. My sons mom never completed it. Yet this judge ruled in her favor. I'm a hard working law obiding tax paying citizen with a house that I pay rent for. My sons mom is unemployed, yet this judge granted her full custody of my son. I had to make an appointment in order to go in today, and when I called customer service to make the appointment I spoke with a super friendly person who helped me make an appointment for the same day. When I showed up for my appointment, the clerk was also very friendly and got my papers filed in 15 mins, maybe less. The security guard was very nice and made the process smooth and easy to get into the building.
