I love this shopping center, Macy's, Islands, Bristol Farms, Panda Express and many others. The art galleries are always my favorite as well.
This shopping center has been struggling for years. However it does have some strong reasons to go there. There are two great restaurants, a toy store, deli, Tiffany's , Macy's and Williams Sonoma, just to name a few. There is plenty of parking and it is a nice walk through. There's been some recent additional restaurants added and don't forget Bristol farms across the parking lot! Now, has a huge Mattress Mikes showroom for mattress and furniture..Across the way is the high-end Moving Miss Daisy consignment store, both in the bottom of the old Sears, awesome places to peruse. Mr. B's restaurant and some interesting smaller shops..great place for a stroll.
I love the shopping center and have been going here since I was a student at UCSB in the late oughts. It's really grown since then, and become a little more high-end, but it's still a fantastic place to take your friends and family to stroll around, and maybe get a bite to eat. There's a lot of options to choose from in the shopping center, and of course it's connected to a mall with the anchor store being Macy's. It's an enormous Macy's by the way. I love that they just added a Habit Burger. Fun fact: The first Habit Burger is actually in Goleta which originally opened in 1969. The original Habit Burger is in downtown Goleta, which I've eaten at a couple of times. Whenever I'm going down south to LA, or coming back up north from LA, I'll stop off at the La Cumbre Plaza to get something to eat and walk around.
Very nice plaza. It got everything you need in one stop. Plenty of choices. I come here for the Go! calendars and toys place and recently for the Mr. B restaurant and cafe. Plenty of parking spots and shops. I highly recommend it.
Gorgeous, way more than what we expected!! Beautiful walk/hike up to overlook of the ocean views, lots of plant info and variety, color everywhere, aromas of the plants just delightful! Bring a hat and water, it’s uphill. We will be back for sure!
Called mall security twice about homeless camped out in the bathroom using the sink to bathe while using the bathroom stall to store his shopping cart and property. The first time I called he the security guard said; "thanks for telling me" as if he was going to deal with it, and then when I called back again 30 minutes later because the homeless was still in there, he said; "people have to use the bathroom" as if it was normal behavior for the homeless to be do I ng that. So, in other words, another story and another excuse as to why he wouldn't do his job. The job they hired him for. This is why we have the homeless problem in Santa Barbara. People refuse to do their jobs.
Macy's store is small but has great architecture. Half of this outdoor shopping mall is vacant, half of the stores that are in business host things such as massage parlors, and ballet and yoga studios. It's a dead mall walking.
I wanted some interesting area for kids to play and when I read the reviews, there were mentions of kids' areas and interesting things for kids to play. Honestly, there is nothing and the toy place which was mentioned in most reviews closed and most stores over there closed. If you have kids, don't waste your time and go there since there is nothing enjoyable.
Very nice shopping center, you can grab lunch and shop, in one location. Starbucks, blaze pizza, vons..it's all here
A shadow of its former self. I remember when you couldn't find a parking space here because it was so busy. The internet has made surviving malls a dying breed.
