Absolutely the Best Mexican food I have ever eaten. My family of six came to eat. We were very pleased the food was amazing. The staff was so friendly and very inviting. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican food this is and will forever be you go to. Very pleased!!
The chips were hold baked crunchy tortillas not fried. Everything was authentic, torilla are hand made. The outside is not much to look at but the food is great.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Went looking around Kilgore for breakfast after church. Don Chepe's menu has menudo and caldo soups for breakfast and that is their go to. I had a Pastor trace and a Chorizo and egg taco. Amazing flavor!!! Highly recommend!
Didn't care for the "queso salsa". Red salsa tasty but quite hot even by my standards. Don't know about green salsa, "didn't make any" that day. Tortilla chips varied, some tougher and greasier, less fresh. Tex-Mex chicken enchiladas with green sauce: Good sauce, dry chicken. Rice and beans good. Both entrees missing salads.Food: 3/5
Stopped by Don Chepe's today for a late lunch. I tried all of the flavors of tacos offered. All were very good, I enjoyed the el pastor so much I had to get two more. Really good food, and service was friendly. Looking for to try them again.Food: 5/5
The service was very good. Staff was friendly. We split the waffle fries nachos and had some leftovers. The shredded beef, grilled onions, and queso and the waffle fries tasted delicious. Definitely ordered this again!Food: 5/5
First time visit. I had heard good things already. Had Al Pastor, Chicken and steak tacos and guacamole. The TACOS WERE EXCELLENT! The Guac and hot sauces were great also. Drinks were good and service was friendly and Quick. I've been having Mexican food in Kilgore for along time and Don Chepe's is one of The Best I've ever had around here. I do Definitely recommend and will be back for sure.
Heard great things about this place. It's always packed. Finally tried it and was very disappointed. Beans and queso are not supposed to be runny like soup! Didn't even finish our food.Food: 1/5
No kid menu. Bistek meat did not look like bistek meat on the tacos. Look more like chewed up food. Chicken was dry. The only good thing ordered was the quesadilla.
Best barbacoa tacos I've ever had! I love this place! Everybody there is so nice, and Jose always makes sure that everybody is happy. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Food: 5/5
